apparently different situations will produce varying results.... i was transitioning out of my old number so that i could pass it along to a friend, neither of us was in any hurry, and number barn offered exactly what i needed: park the number temporarily, while still receiving (and sending) texts, and let callers hear my custom voicemail greeting... so i experienced great functionality, an amazing price, great customer service, and a smooth port to my friends t-mobile account, which she was able to do at her leisure. its a shame NumberBarn isnt a household name (I had to google for what i was looking for, and struck gold), but if they keep this up it will be!
