I have used Obagi for several years. I have always purchased at med spa. The website is terrible because even though it shows the order, it does not allow for tracking the order. For the amount of $ this brand sells their product, it would be nice to know when to expect it to arrive
I’ve been a loyal customer to OBAGI for many years, but recently the company started to be weird specially with the rewards/points system. Two months ago they announced they will stop the points system, but since December 2023 all the products listed in the loyalty points system was either useless or there are no products at all. I consider this as a scam! Simply because I have LOTS of points I can use, but they don’t offer anything to redeem the points. Their last date to redeem points is May 31 2025 and today is May 30 and there is absolutely no products to redeem my points. And even before there was no valuable products on the system. So I was loyal, earning LOTS of points, and they offer nothing.SO DISAPPOINTED. Will move to another brand who respects their customers.
I wasted 2 years of my life using the obagi fx line and Susan obagi, under a dermatologists recommendation to improve my skin. All that line ever did was cause problems. It gave me so much acne, and my pigmentation did not improve. People did not believe I was going to a dermatologist, and would constantly give me advice about how to improve my skin. The issue is that the dermatologists sell obagi like it’s the “gold standard” to treat skin. And I believed it, so that’s why I kept using it. I actually started to believe that my pigmentation was untreatable.Earlier this year I decided to stop going to the dermatologist, and cease all obagi products i.e the obagi fx line and tretinoin, one by one, replacing it with products from other brands. And for the first time my pigmentation is actually fading.
I have fair skin, no particular issues. Was prescribed by an aesthetic doctor Obagi (a very expensive 5 part process, repeated 2x a day). Was told it is a must, persevered for 6 weeks, ended up with: hugely irritated very dry skin on both face and neck (could not even tolerate wearing a turtleneck), with ever deepening wrinkles, and peeling skin, it was just horrible, so I decided to stop it. Thankfully my skin returned to its normal after a couple of weeks of using very low cost but marvellous and very effective South Korean facial products. Obagi is very harsh and I do not recommend it unless there really is a medical condition that requires heavy handed treatment.
I was advised that the Obaji Nutraderm treatment would help with my hyperpigmentation. After almost five months and almost £900 spent, there has been very little, if any improvement. This is so very disappointing as I followed instructions to the letter. I was supported by Ida at the Centre for Surgery in London

Obagi Nuderm RX, the prescription option. The kit was very expensive & the long winded 5 part process (twice a day) with an extra tube of 1.5% tretanoin is both tedious & laborious. I have a fair, childhood freckled skin & now in my 60’s I was advised to use the Obagi system by my beautician. She extolled its virtues. After using for 5 months. I noticed little change, red patches, flaking & dryness & a soreness that was relentless. Applying makeup was impossible as it ended up flaking … my skin was red & sore most days. I eventually gave up.. has it improved my skin: absolutely not. But after 2 months off my skin has recovered, alas the little red patches are still there. But just to use beautiful oils & emollient serums again is so relieving. I honestly would not recommend this product on fine fair skin.
I started the Obagi nu-Derm system and had a great first week. Then week by week my skin broke out in severe acne, parts of my skin weeping and raw. I was advised to keep going which I did and then at week 6 they advised to stop all the treatment and put my reaction down to previous medical history of PCOS. The aesthetic nurse was incredible but Obagi central team have offered nothing in the way of remedying my now acne/Pigmentation marked face. Which I think is appalling. The nurse has refunded the money which I am extremely grateful for but I am actually disgusted with Obagi. We sent regular progress photos to them. I would have expected them to offer something to help fix my skin which is now considerably worse than before. I feel pretty devastated and accept that the products haven’t worked for me but would have expected some offer of help on how to rectify my now problems which I didn’t have when I started.
