OCBC Bank in Singapore is an extremely untrustworthy institution. I live in China and hold a Chinese passport. Today, December 10, 2024, I received an email from them stating that because I am neither a Singaporean citizen nor a resident of Singapore, I am required to handle the funds in my bank account by December 15, or they will close my account.One year ago, they actively came to mainland China to solicit customers, attracting people from mainland China to become their clients. When I opened my account through their online banking service, I followed all their requirements, submitting my Chinese passport and all necessary information. As required, I deposited at least 3,000 Singapore dollars along with other currencies.Now, they are giving users only five days to manage their funds, blatantly violating the original account-opening principles and treating customers like cattle or dogs to be driven away in haste. This kind of behavior is utterly disgusting. I will never trust any Singaporean bank again!
