Blake was very prompt and professional when he came out to measure and quote. He provided us with a couple of options and was happy to consolidate our choices into our final quote which we have just accepted due to both the competitive pricing and the customer service we have received so far. Can’t wait to have our security screens installed.
Our experience with Solomon's is that they are a company with very poor customer service and communication between themselves. From the first installation date this job was a failure...we had multiple hold ups and issues all stemming from the original measurements being incorrect and a piece that was in existence being in the way and only later told it was up to us to remove. There had been no mention of this at all and the company took responsibility for it but we had already been rudely spoken to on the phone by the manager, Joe. We very nearly pulled the plug then and had it not been for our money already paid and the colour we wanted we would've gone elsewhere. The last installer sent out was the most efficient and finally after 5 failed attempts the doors were installed on the 6th go. He was the only saving grace and probably keeping this company afloat! We will not be recommending Solomon's to anyone and sincerely hope that they go through some proper training and reviews of their management moving forward.
Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. We had six security doors installed five years ago and have had no end of trouble since then. The sliding doors were installed on the twenty year old tracks. When I rang a couple of weeks later to complain the doors would not slide I was told I needed to pay for new tracks. After an argument they agreed to replace the tracks at no cost to me. Also the rivettes were not correctly inserted in the door frames so they could be pulled out with a decent tug. When the workers arrived to fix it, they said they did not now what colour the door was or how many they needed to fix so would have to come back. As a result the need to take more time off work so as to be here. How can there be no record of the colour scheme or the number of doors! Would not that be on my previous order. Front screen door would not close but the fellow said to "put your foot on the bottom of the door and pull". As a result the handle broke and the door bent!!!! Of course no new door was provided. All of the locks have been problematic. One needed to be replaced within weeks. The front door lock jammed and I was locked out of my house for 30 minutes. Yet another service call and more time off work!!! This lock has broken again as have two of the other locks. Will need to have them all replaced. Have given up on any form of customer service. Sent three emails and left two phone messages three years ago and still waiting for a response. Can't believe this mob is still in business. Don't touch it with a barge pole!!!
