Reading some of those 1 star reviews might give you pause, but I assure you that you should pay those reviews no mind. OnlyCat has been worth the investment 100x over, and they keep upgrading and improving the catflap constantly. The unit is AI driven, there’s no doubt about it. Your cat might figure out how to get around it sometimes, or they might not. This has blocked almost every single instance of prey being brought in that I can think of. I have so many hilarious videos of my cat with contraband being stopped. OnlyCat has created a product that has no equal in the market. If you let your cat outside, you’re either using a regular cat door or you are there opening and closing the door for them. This takes all of that work out of your hands, but like any item you need to understand the terminology. OnlyCat has an excellent Facebook group with tons of people who can help assist or provide suggestions regarding your catflap. We travel a lot and due to this we needed a way to keep our cats in at night so they’re safe. This alone is worth the peace of mind to make sure my cats are safe while we are gone.OnlyCat continues to improve the product and roll out features, and I’m excited to see what’s on tap for 2026. The price tag is worth it, you just need to take a little time to understand how it works before you come guns blazing for the OnlyCat team. Play around with the policies, read the instructions, join the FB group to see the monthly leaderboard if nothing else. I have see over and over again the level of care and attention OnlyCat provides to its users, creating custom polices for tricky scenarios, or getting on the phone and troubleshooting through issues with people over their cat door. Have and will remain very impressed with OnlyCat product and their amazing team.
