Huge scam. Despite my submitting cancellation several times, the site is designed to confused and trapped you in retaining the subscription. That being said, the subscription was indeed cancelled with the screen showing a red box and confirming the cancellation but I was still charged.
Multiple correspondence with the chatbot yields nothing as no one respond or reply or email.

Their reply have not been honest at all and is aimed at dodging the issue at hand. Due to the trap as mentioned earlier and by many others, "true" cancellation was done on the 3rd of March (my timezone) which was confirmed on screen by with the red box stating so (that being said - very unethical methods of trap and fine print before true cancellation so do be careful there. Basically you have to cancel several times). I then went to the chatbot and even stated my intention despite my screen showing the confirmation of the cancellation. It is 7th now and there has been no reply whatsoever. I then posted this review before emailing David, the CEO and the support team and subsequently received a reply from the CEO. The reply however, is still aimed at dodging the issue and claiming that I should have received the email confirming the cancellation.
That is not the case at all and I was still charged on the 6th of March. I had to call the bank to cancel the credit card and request for a new card number. That's how bad the experience was and how bad the issue is.
Fradulently taking money from my card for two months, i registered for a free trial, during the first day i cancelled the account in settings.
Then billed for new plan on Feb 5, logged in to contact support and ask for a refund, received no correspondence or reply..... they then re instated my account and on Mar 5 i was charged again.
Still no reply from Opinly via their chat or email, raisded Fraud request with American Express repeatedly and shared these reviews.
As an journalist by trade it might be time to start looking into Opinly and their business practices.

Cancelled my account last November. Have kept getting charged as it shows "personal" account even though I did steps to cancel. There is NO WAY to completely cancel the account. So, I found they kept charging me $199/mo as a business account. Tried again to cancel today and it says "completed" but still never cancels the account.
Total fraud of a site.
Also, the product sucks. Was not even close to their competitors in quality and information. Avoid.
The product was very slow, and the content it produced was generic and very ChatGPT 3.5-ish. I canceled my subscription on the very first day of my trial. And when my trial ended, they still charged me $59. I then emailed them, and it's been almost a month, and I still don't have a refund.
I signed up to test Opinly, but this has turned into a very frustrating experience.I have tried multiple times to contact them via support email, but the support email does not work. I have also tried reaching out through their chat support, without receiving any response.In addition, I attempted to cancel my subscription directly through their website, but the cancellation process does not work.What was meant to be a simple test of the platform has resulted in my card being charged over 500 EUR, despite my clear intention not to continue with a paid subscription.This experience feels misleading and unprofessional. Cancelled my trial, confirmed it with someone on live chat, got charged TWICE! What the hell is this about, no one is replying now either. Scam Company - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR DETAILS. Have reported to the Ombudsman.Another thing to note, their email support@ isnt even an email...
3 days is not long enough to to actually test if you can utilise it properly but the most frustrating thing is when you go to cancel - they STILL charge you. Looks like its happened to everyone else who has written that wasn't fabricated or posted by friends of brand.
A few days ago I saw to my surprise a billing for 167 Euros from my account. I called the bank and they told me that it was by Opinly. I didn't even remember who Opinly are. After going through my emails I found one email from the 4th of October 2025 (it's now February 2026!) suggesting that I'll take their 7 day FREE trial, so perhaps I took it at one stage or the other. However, I definitely never subscribed to their services. I couldn't find a business address or phone number on their website. 4 days ago I sent them an email requesting a refund and so far there hasn't been a reply. I'll update this ticket if I hear anything 06/02/26 Update: I have sent them all the details they requested here and still didn't hear back from them.
