Review Time
I discoverd Opinly though Facebook, and it took me 2 weeks or so to finally sign up and give it a try... the interface at the start took a bit to get used to, but when I understood where everything was, I realised how sick the product was. It helped me create a blog that generated over 2 million clicks... now a lot of the traffic wasn't top quality, but it definitely helped fill up our funnel, which makes our ads perform better.
After doing their free trial I immediately signed up for a subscription as I couldn't be without it - not only does Opinly saves me so much time and manual SEO work but our costs are way down now as we don't need to outsource certain projects. Couldn't recommend it more
We've been using Opinly for about 8 months now. The product has improved massively to the point where we've been able to cancel our Semrush and just use Opinly. Customer support has been super responsive and they have changed the product directly from our feedback.
The product was very slow, and the content it produced was generic and very ChatGPT 3.5-ish. I canceled my subscription on the very first day of my trial. And when my trial ended, they still charged me $59. I then emailed them, and it's been almost a month, and I still don't have a refund.
There is no cancellation option on the user panel after signing up for a trial. I had to send their support an email for the cancellation. Doesn't look good as my first experience with this provider. Will see if they actually will cancel on time. If not - they will have to deal with a chargeback and deal with bad reputation. The other reviewers have similar experience - so beware!
I signed up to Opinly.ai on 20 December 2025 for a 3-day free trial.I cancelled the same day via the account interface. No cancellation confirmation was generated.Despite this, my card was charged $199 USD on 22 December 2025, which was still within the free trial period. The merchant’s own Stripe-generated invoice confirms the trial ran 20–23 December 2025 with $0 due.After the charge appeared, the account UI reverted to showing “Cancel subscription”, which required cancelling again. Opinly support later stated they could see activity on 20 December but could not confirm a successful cancellation in their system.I attempted to resolve this directly with support and senior management but did not receive a refund, and ultimately had to escalate the issue externally.I’m leaving this review to document the billing experience so others can make an informed decision before starting a trial. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to review the billing terms very carefully before signing up. For my use case, I also found the product very limited.Update: After a lengthy process (c. 3 weeks), Opinly has since issued a full refund.To resolve this, I had to raise a dispute with my bank and also escalate the issue via Stripe. The process was quite long-winded and required providing a significant amount of documentation and evidence.I’m leaving the original review unchanged for transparency, as it accurately reflects the billing experience at the time. Hopefully this update is helpful for others who may find themselves in a similar situation.
