Prior to my switch, I was with a different provider and was assured by a representative from the new service that they were not affiliated with them. After signing up, I canceled my previous service and was hit with a $250 cancellation fee, which was promised to be covered. They did reimburse me, but only partially and on their terms. Meanwhile, I am still being charged for equipment rental from my previous provider. When I reached out for assistance, I was routed back to the old company, and the customer service was unable to help due to my account being canceled. It feels like I've been misled from the beginning, and the support for resolving the lease issue has been inadequate. It appears that merchant services in the region are monopolized, and rates promised at signup inevitably increase. This situation feels like a scam, and I will be looking for a new provider unless they can resolve this issue with the terminal. My only option may be to close my business account and start anew to prevent further losses.
