I have a QR-based pair of tags for my dogs and thought a subscription-free option would be more cost-effective. Unfortunately, the website is misleading. To access all the features they claim are standard, a subscription is required, which only matches a competitor's offering that costs less and includes SMS notifications. I'm disappointed but will give them a try alongside another brand. If this had been clearer on the website rather than revealed after purchase, I would have chosen differently.

I loved these tags for my dogs! However, since switching to the monthly payment plan, I've been unable to upload the extra photos and info, which was the main reason for the upgrade. The only advantage of the monthly plan is getting a replacement tag when needed, but it's not worth the subscription if it doesn't work.
I rated it four stars since I've just received the item. It’s nice, and for the price, there's not much difference compared to an engraved tag. However, I discovered that to fully utilize its features, a monthly subscription is required. If I had known this beforehand, I might have considered other options. This isn't necessarily a bad aspect, but it's only revealed after registration and ordering. The tag is well-made and waterproof, though it may be slightly large for a small dog. If your dog enjoys water and play, it could potentially get caught and fall off the collar.
