Been looking for so long to find a non paid software that does everything I need to do on PDF's.
Not sure how these guys make money, but darn, its great.
Low resource use, easy to use. Saved me so much pain. Million times better than Adobe (which is resource heavy and operates like a virus in the system, impossible to remove)
This is so much better for reading documents on a laptop than what the free version of acrobat. Easier to navigate, print, etc. Haven't done anything but print and read with it yet, but I always found acrobat annoying in the extreme.
Good PDF editor, but a few concerning things:
1. Could not compress PDFs without an internet connection. This is a simple job and should be done completely on my computer. This makes me think the info is sent to (stored?) on the company's servers.
2. While it was installed, I COULD NOT use the default preview app on my Mac for PDFs. If I tried to open a PDF using Preview, I would get an error that the attachment was unsafe and should be deleted, even when I created the document.
Wow. Blown away by how user friendly and powerful a tool PDFGear has turned out. Only a one man business and get loads of pdfs invoices, orders, batch files coming through that I need to split out. Can't justify an Adobe subscription on what I make, so have been using screen snips to make up individual pdfs from the large pdf dumps which takes an age. With this tool, I'm blasting through over 100 rolled up pdf docs into indivdual files which is a Godsend.
Great product does exactly what it says it does.
And its free no gimmicks nothing additional to download gives a great tool for edits, views across all PDF files.

It works wonders and its really free
I was looking for a light pdf reader but this blew my mind when I noticed that this allows me to read, edit and do stuff like OCR (that lets you highlight or look up text from an image that has words you can't really select) all for free and really fast. From my perspective it's way better than Adobe PDF Reader. Loved it. I totally recommend it.
this is the app that offers free features, it comes into full and compact tools such as editing text, change image , and others, it also contains tools for convert, merge, and others, i would recomend this app as my base PDF app
PDFgear's Unlock PDF is a great product!
I used the online version to drop a couple of work-related PDFs that would not allow me to copy some text, and PDFgear's Unlock PDF Online tool removed the locks within literally a few seconds. Super impressed. I didn't have to subscribe before uploading them or before downloading the unlocked versions. I would recommend it and will be using it in the future.
