I’ve been going to Pearle Vision for 15 years. The options of glasses, discounts/sales, doctors & customer service is top notch! My most recent exam in 2023 at Desert Ridge, Phoenix, AZ was with Dr. Paul, he knows his business & has a great personality! I had the good fortune to work with Seth in picking out frames. He picked awesome frames for me, ones I’d never think would look good. He was so helpful & what a fabulous personality. All around an excellent experience!!!!! 👍
We had wrong prescriptions for the whole family, and my wife has two pair of glasses due to wrong prescriptions. This is the Doctor error and we have faced so many lives risk during driving which the store peoples can't understand. we went to their store, but they deny the lens replacement and asking for more money. This is their usual business and make money like making mistakes. Very frustrating experience with this store and the manager. Never visit this store again and advise other to take precautions as they are giving wrong prescriptions. What is our fault if doctor make mistake and they have to correct it but they are so ignorant to listen to customer and can't understand their pain.
Extremely poor customer service and quality assurance policy, was ask to pay 50% more to get a replacement— still without assurance that it would be better. I’ve worn prescription glass for more than 60 years and know what “scratch resistant “ means. While it can’t prevent scratches 100% it does safeguard the lenses from normal use like cleaning soft cloth and good lens cleaning liquid. After wearing my latest pair of glasses for less than 5 months I noticed “very excessive” amount of scratches compared to my previous experience. This was despite the fact I paid extra for the “scratch-resistant” feature. Went to the store to see ask if they can replace the lenses. Was told that I’d have to pay 50% for that. Really, I didn’t know whether I should laugh or cry after hearing that. Believe me, I know what reasonable vs excessive amount of scratches from my years of eyeglass experience. I left the store feeling awful and angry. Now, after another 3 months the glasses became totally unusable because they obscure my vision to the extent that became dangerous to drive. I had no choice but to make another pair with another store, obviously not Pearle Vision. I’ll NEVER ever return to them, nor recommend them to my family or anyone else. Note: my previous pair of eyeglasses from Pearle Vision was also with problems—part of the “anti-reflective” or “scratch-resistant” coatings actually came off and was very clearly visible with naked eyes. They replaced that — that was the reason I went back to PV for my next pair, a great mistake.
I went to Pearle Vision location at 7870 West Bell Road Suite 110 in Glendale,AZ.. this was my very first visit to Pearle Vision so I thought I would try them out. I brought in my perscription for the eyeglasses from the eye exam I just had done earlier that day someplace else. Anyway that day I had to wait forever to get a sales person to help me (I guess they were short staffed. But I finally got helped and I ordered the eyeglasses. I finally got the eyeglasses picked up. I had ordered the trans extra gray in the lenses but the glasses do not turn dark in the sunshine. There is no way I can wear them in the bright sun light. They hurt my eyes really bad.. I tried calling many times a day and no one answers the phone at all. The eyeglasses are useless to me and I spent $500 for the glasses. The sales person was very short fused and interrupted me several times and in a big rush a to get me out the door. She was not very helpful in explaining how the trans extra gray works as there are different levels of the trans extra gray. But the customer she has just before me she was nice to him and it took forever for her to get his order and they talked and talked and laughing and it had nothing to do with the eyeglasses or his order. Then he finally agreed to get the glasses and still took over a hour to get his order in and paid for before she could finally help me. Then when she finally helped me she was in a big rush and in a hurry and rude saying do you want the glasses or not I have other things to do. So I've been trying to call their office for days and finally someone answered the phone. when I talked to someone finally on the phone the lady was talking fast like she was in a race. She put me on hold and then finally said I will have someone call you tomorrow. We will see if they do or not. I am not satisfied with the service or the glasses.
The Pearle Vision in Pelham, Alabama on Huntley Parkway loves to overcharge patients, not return calls and then suddenly closes their doors. They keep sending my husband a bill for $22.00, we overpaid them but will never get it back. Do not ever use this Pearle Vision in the event they ever reopen!!!!!!! We will go back to America's Best for sure.
This review is for the Pearle Vision located at 1001 75th St #139 Woodridge, IL 60517. I had an eye exam at this location back in November of 2020. At the time of my appointment the doctor who examined my eyes seemed very nice. The assistant at the time seemed a little irritated that I did want to purchase their over priced eye glasses. I'm sorry but if you choose a job in sales and commission accept the fact that everyone will not be willing to be influenced to purchase what you have to offer. I've learned my lesson with educating myself on how this system works... You learn that insurance covers a very small percentage of your eyeglasses. You pay $500 or more for one pair of glasses at one of the big store chains like Pearle. So I explored a few online stores that offer far more designer eyewear for a fraction of what you would pay in the store and you can use your FSA or HSA towards your purchase if not all of it. Ok, back to my experience after I told the assistant I did not want to purchase any glasses. I asked if I could have a print out of my prescription, She gave me a little attitude (I'm sorry but its not that serious, if your that dependent on commission you clearly need to seriously think about making some career adjustments). Here's the kicker, I asked if she could measure my PD. She said yes but it will be an extra charge of $20 (in a condescending tone). I said ok fine, she measured me and I paid and left. I recently placed an online order for eyeglasses with the prescription that I received from this location in February. I received my glasses in the mail last week. The prescription was wrong, my left eye lens was terrible. I could not focus, so I called Pearle Vision and explained what happened and I was scheduled to come in to be re-examined. I get there and I was told to have a seat and the doctor would be with me shortly. While I'm waiting to be seen, I noticed an Asian lady talking with the doctor and explaining to her that she wasn't comfortable about her prescription and etc. I thought to myself... Oh boy! Is this a regular thing or what?... So, the doctor calls me back and I explain to her that I felt like my prescription is wrong. I had a print out of my prescription and handed it to her and she says.... "Oh! There must have been a typo". She then asked for the glasses that I purchased online and she examined them. She asked me to put them on and she places a lens over the left eye asked if it was better... I responded yes, and she responds by saying "That was an easy fix and I'll have one of the girls to make the adjustments and print out a new prescription". The same assistant that helped me in November helped me today. She gives me the print out and I left. Here's the thing, This was an inconvenience for me. I am out of money for glasses that I can't have repaired and I was told by the online store that its better to reorder the glasses with a fifty percent off coupon(provided by them) than sending them back for repair. The doctor did not offer any compensation for the glasses or even a coupon to purchase from Pearle. I usually do not do reviews on anything but when it comes to service I feel the need to voice it. I will Not come back to this location again. I usually go to the Oakbrook location and I have always had a great experience. For those that are interested in purchasing your designer eyewear for half the price.. You can go to framesdirect.com All you need is an updated prescription, your PD and facial measurements. You can look up how to measure your face on YouTube and your all set!
