I donated a couple year ago for the water well where they built a well to supply clean water. Got told there was a 12 month delay because of covid and 2 years later still nothing was done. I chased and chased and when I finally asked for my money back because I didn’t trust that the well would actually be made 2 days later I got sent a pack with that the well had apparently been built. The build pics and the final install pics look like 2 completely different locations so I don’t trust at all that they have used my donation to build a well at all! Really frustrating and awful experience and would never trust penny appeal again!
I wouldn't trust this organisation. Especially looking into the destination where these funds are reaching. It could end up in wrong hands, turnaround and bite like a snake. I rather donate it through some reputed charity organisation
I have worked for penny appeal for more than 3 years in Bangladesh. In 3 + years I have seen that PA UK's office's directors and couple of other staff grasp donated money through its various partners in Bangladesh in innovative ways. Penny appeal is a fraud organization and they are just wasting the donated money of muslims for their own personal benefits. Don't provide donations to them.
shame on penny appeal...dont trust this organization, they cheated my family & I for sponsorship for Orphan Quran Hifz for continuing 3 yrs & now we r informed that...... We have sponsored them almost 3 yrs if I'm not wrong. From the beginning we have received their progress of their classes that it takes 3 yrs for the whole hifz & now all sudden after 3 yrs informing us that penny appeal decided to disengage with one of the partners. And it's strange how could both partners have the same issue in different countries. We have doubts about the sponsorship long time ago & now we are quite sure we were being scams. It is a huge shame on penny appeal for destroying our trust on this organization from now on. We were waiting for the day that penny appeal would inform us that the children who we sponsored have successfully finished Hifz but we are so disappointed for how the organizations broke our trust & we are sure every of our penny who misused it would have to face accountability on the date of judgements. Please cancel our BOTH ( my & my mum's sponsorship ) immediately. We will continue to sponsor the orphan hifz children in other organizations In Sha Allah. if anyone need proof text me & I will forward the letter & emails between us
I have been sponsoring a little girl in the Orphan Hifz programme since July 2019 and this week I have told that they are not working with that group, therefore I have been assigned another child. The three years ends July 2022. So what has happened to the girl I have been sponsoring? Has she completed the Hifz? As I have not had any information and when I called they as a matter of fact assumed I would sponsor the new child. They are out of order.
I have today received an update about the orphan I was donating to for hafiz quran. It has been a while that I have not received an update and was wondering why this was. Today I received an update to say they have withdrawn her from the programme for whatever poor reason. I'm sorry but she would have been coming to the of her hifz and I was really looking forward to receiving confirmation of completion not that you have withdrawn for where her reasons. I have been donating for nearly 3 years and received 2 updates in the whole time that too in the first year after that nothing. I'm very upset at the fact that this is what you have sent and just replaced her with another orphan for me to sponsor....I haven't even seen the first one through and am gutted about this and you expect me to trust you with another sponsor....no way! I wish I read the reviews before sponsoring..I have deleted my debit and will be looking for a more trusted chairty to go with.
LES KIRKMAN… nice try but you are employed by penny appeal so trying to cover over the cracks doesn’t work I’m afraid.They have probably paid you to leave this review or adeem has used your name because he is out of options.He has already got Hannah evans and Thomas croos leaving positive review on Google and they are current and ex employers of the charity.Please all don’t fall for there clever marketing and fancy videos.All you need to do is Google the charity and the rest is history.
I have a well in my name built with Penny appeal funds. There are always people out there to put a downer on this very successful charity who must report to a board of trustees and the charity commission. Don’t believe the bad press there are many many good people working hard for the charity because the believe in it and it’s founder.
CHARLATANS! One of the worst charities. I donated for a water well in my late father's name. They constructed it in someone else's name! They acknowledged their mistake and said they will rectify it. Many years later they have not done a thing keep giving me the runaround.Absolute SHMABLES of a charity!PLEASE AVOID!
