I’m currently experiencing login issues for the third time. Each time, the issue must be escalated before it gets resolved, resulting in a complete work stoppage.
It’s concerning that the root cause doesn’t seem to be addressed, as the problem keeps recurring. Tier 1 support has been disappointing and often ineffective, adding to the frustration.
At this point, the tool is more disruptive than helpful. It might work for local users, but I wouldn’t recommend it for global use. The 2FA system is unreliable - SMS and app notifications often fail. There are better alternatives available, and the inability to upgrade makes it even more limiting. Such a crappy tool.

I've been a customer since January 2025, and used the accounting platform to scan invoices. However, on 1 December when I wanted to scan invoices for November I was unable to access the platform. My email and password worked, but then I was asked to add my phone number for verification and was unable to do so due to an error message. Since then I've been trying to get access, but had to go through several lengthy steps, including uploading a new KBIS which cost me money to download. I'm treated like a new customer. I've uploaded the documents 2 days ago, but my issue has not yet been resolved, and if I don't upload my invoices soon I will face a 150 Euro fine. Furthermore, the company has been deducting money from my account for services they are not currently providing. I am very dissatisfied with the way I've been treated.
Very difficult to get customer support. Twice they have changed the integration methods for e-commerce software, making our accounting and invoice generation a mess. So twice I have had to learn a new system (API mapping, etc.), while (still) waiting several days for help.Edit - Elodie was fantastic at helping me find a solution. Would have been a bit helpful for some clearer documentation, but it is working now and that is good!
After spending hours on finding a software solution for accounting in France, Pennylane is like a breath of fresh air in hell. All other tools have one problem or another, like inability to synchronize with some external tools (especially for SaaS business), horrible design, inability to bulk process transactions (which means you have to do thousands of small stupid operations manually), inability to do precise entries into your journal yourself, etc. With Pennylane you can do all that and much more. It's especially suitable for a SaaS business where you have thousands of small transactions every month and where you need integration with Stripe or PayPal. Their support is pretty amazing, right on time, happy to help in detail, they do onboarding video calls even before you become a customer, love the approach.Also, they have an advanced section (available for pro accounts and for accountants) where you can make manual entries into your books, which is pretty amazing too. All in all, I can highly recommend it. Do not use an accountant who doesn't use Pennylane because it'll cause you headaches. I've worked with many different tools across all Europe (UK, Germany, France) and I just wish there was Pennylane for every country. Well done people!
