Customer service was consistently good. However, the GPS functionality was poor and unreliable, leading us to seek another service for navigation. Additionally, the phone experienced glitches throughout our use, which was frustrating. On a positive note, I appreciated the ability to approve contacts, apps, schedules, and the text review feature.
On Christmas Day, I had several queries while setting up the phone. The representative was incredibly helpful and thorough in addressing my concerns. They were patient as they guided me through each step and ensured everything was functioning to my satisfaction before proceeding to the next issue.
My daughter was 8 when I got her the phone. It seemed early to give a child a phone, but as her mom and I are divorced, she needed a safe way to communicate with either of us. I wanted to ensure she didn’t have access to inappropriate content or unrestricted freedom. The service provides me with that balance—my daughter can request apps through a platform, but I control what is appropriate for her age. If I don't approve it, she can't access it. I can also set times for her phone use while ensuring she can still communicate with us or caregivers. I can track her location if necessary, and she can’t add new contacts without my approval. Additionally, there’s no internet browser or social media available by default. This service allows my daughter to have freedom while keeping her safe, and she feels secure knowing I won't monitor her messages unless there’s a concern.
I am using the service to create a simplified smartphone experience. I want certain apps but need strict controls on blocking distractions like social media and games, which I believe are harmful. It's working exceptionally well. Although I’m not using it as intended, I can confirm that if used for its original purpose, it seems very effective based on my testing. I also want to thank the representative for their outstanding patience and expertise in resolving my issue. Excellent customer service overall, though I recommend using live chat for support instead of email!
