Feedback for Pizza Express of my experience at 2 branches in last month (Ruislip and Harrow).
Pizza Romana base quality has gone down. The base is mych thicker thsn before , especially the edges are thick and size too is smaller than before. Their prices have gone up steeply but
quality is going down.
When asked staff said they have changed the oven tray used for Romana base from flat tray to the tray with edges same tray as used for Classic pizzas. Hence the dough edges cannot be stretched further and this leaves edges quite thick and bulky. Seems tray is also smaller size than before so romana bae pizza is slightly smaller and overall thicker than before
This is disappointing.it is now not the romana base pizzas we used to love going to pizza express for.
Request Pizza Express to bring back the previous original tray and thin quality for their Romana base. If they want to hold onto their customers and not risk loosing them to other Pizza brand restaurants.
I placed an order for delivery at 5:30 for my nephews, my partner, and myself. It took more than 2 hours to leave the kitchen, arriving at 7:50, and half of the order was missing and cold. The kids went to bed without any food. I contacted the support team to express my concerns about the issues at the restaurant, and their response was essentially dismissive, stating it wasn't their problem since I ordered through the app. Their reply was simply: “sorry you were disappointed.” They did not acknowledge the long wait, the lack of phone support, or that three delivery drivers had to leave without the order. Instead, they focused on how I felt rather than taking any responsibility. I've visited this place several times before, but I won't be returning—it's not just the experience I can overlook, but the disrespectful response from the customer service team.
It’s really frustrating to encounter high service charges along with rude staff when attempting to use discounts. This was particularly true at this location. The staff were unhelpful, and the food didn’t justify the prices.
As Gold Members, we often enjoy the excellent service at a different location. However, our visit to this branch was disappointing. The floor was messy, and the food was only lukewarm. The children's meal was also not up to par with what we usually expect. Very let down.
I had to use a gift card, but paying £72.95 for three people, one being a child, left us still hungry. The value was extremely poor. While the food was decent, comparable options exist elsewhere at much lower prices. I've had better starters than the mains here. The staff were nice, but I know they are underpaid, which is commendable given the circumstances.
It’s quite upsetting that a high service charge is automatically added, and the staff were rude when we tried to use a discount card. This was particularly the case at this branch. The service was unfriendly, and the food did not match the price.
I waited 10 minutes for a table despite many being available, only to find the chairs were still dirty. My order included a salad that was poorly prepared, and the staff offered me a discount without any apology for the poor quality. They seemed more focused on charging us than on customer satisfaction. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially for families.
Our server was unfriendly and forgetful. When I mentioned missing items from my order, there was no apology, just a dismissive response. The food quality was not up to standard, and I will not return to this location. However, one staff member was helpful with app-related issues.
