Review Time
The concept behind Planty is great and the purchase and delivery for the time being went really well, but unfortunately none of the dishes I've tried were great. Some were good, some were mediocre. I'm a bit disappointed because the recipes seemed interesting, but they are just not so flavorful.
Planty meals are varied, tasty and ideal for elderly Vegans like myself. I have better things to do than food shopping and slaving over a hot stove in my retirement. After defrosting overnight, I often re-heat the meals in a saucepan, especially the curries. The al dente textures of the vegetables are great. I really like the lentils and nuts used. When you've tried most of the dishes, you can choose your favourites in your next box.
I don't have time to faff about adding to a delivered meal so Planty ready frozen meals, ready to reheat in oven or microwave, without having to add sauces etc is perfect for me. Oh and they're tasty too. My only request is to have 4 weeks of meals at a time on one subscription
The best thing I've ever done! I started using Planty about a month ago and was blown away by the quality. I started using Planty as a way to improve my eating habits and to be healthier generally, but struggled to find a company that did healthy, nutritious and balanced meals. I discovered Planty and have not looked back since. The food is fresh and delicious, you can tell that there is a team of chefs behind each meal as they change every so slightly and always for the better! The fact that you can freeze them makes it an easy experience, and means you can figure out what you want to do day by day. There have been a few meals I didn't like as much, but the customer service team (Chloe!!) and the website itself was incredibly helpful, and I have now got a full set of 12 meals I genuinely look forward to eating. Hardly any washing up, the dishwasher only has to go on a few times a week which is a dream!! My recommendations are: The roast dinner (something to look forward to every sunday), the Not-a-chicken Tikka Masala and The Shakshuka.
