Review Time
This is the standard all Post Offices should level up to. Biggleswade Post Office renewed 4 passports for me in a space of a week. I was served my 3 different members of staff each time but what a joy to visit. The kind atmosphere, how helpful the team are-this is how all Post Offices should be. Huge asset to the community. Will be recommending to everyone to use this Post Office.
The card works well in the UK and Europe, but at best it works intermittently in Australia. I called the 24/7 international line in the UK to request support, and at first they suggested I use a pin (the payments are declining straight away so the pin payment is not an option). They also suggested that the time of day I was using the card was problematic, as the Post Office occasionally launches IT updates overnight. I'm growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of access to funds, and my reliance on other cards which charge a fee for use.
Unacceptable service in a major city. The available section in a local store is quite small. The service is terrible. Only 1 or 2 employees are present during peak hours, leading to long lines, while several staff in another area seem to be more interested in chatting than assisting customers. The self-service option is ineffective, as there is no supervision or support for inquiries. A disappointing experience.
The post office manager in Barry is outstanding, and I can't recommend him highly enough. Whenever I travel to Australia and New Zealand twice a year, I always rely on his assistance, and the postal services have consistently met my expectations without any issues.
The team provided clear explanations and assisted us in the setup process, outlining how to complete everything and what to do regarding currency changes after the holiday. It's a very user-friendly system that eliminates the hassle of carrying excessive cash while traveling.
Complete disaster of a service. I only wanted to send a Christmas card and purchase a gift card at the same time. Unfortunately, I needed assistance since the self-service option doesn't allow for gift card purchases. The line was extremely long, and there was only one person available until another staff member returned from lunch, taking their time with each customer. Eventually, I gave up. I used the self-service to buy a stamp and went downstairs to inquire about buying a gift card from another store, but was told I had to go to the post office! Frustrated, I decided to get the gift card elsewhere. At least I managed to get my stamp, but I wanted to send a gift card simultaneously. How much worse can this service be? During the holiday season, they should be hiring more staff instead of making things harder.
Many retailers promote postal services but often make excuses for not being able to send small parcels or provide basic postal services. Two shops in a local area claim to be “too busy” to manage their postal services. The main postal office offers limited services by default. It’s no surprise that other courier options seem more reliable. Truly disorganized.
The overall experience was quite frustrating. I simply wanted to send a Christmas card and purchase a gift card simultaneously. Unfortunately, self-service wasn’t an option for the gift card. The queue was incredibly long, and only one staff member was available until another returned from lunch, taking his time with each customer. Eventually, I gave up and used self-service to buy a stamp. I then inquired downstairs if I could purchase a gift card there but was directed back to the postal service. So, I decided to look elsewhere for the gift card. At least I managed to get my stamp, but I had hoped to send the gift card at the same time. It’s disappointing that there aren’t more staff during peak times.
