Where do I begin? We ordered an electric blind (which are very common) in Poland 26/08/25 (over 8 weeks ago). We were told it would take approx 2 weeks for it to be dispatched, after which the company would install it. We were very clear that installation was necessary due to the complexity of the instillation. 4 weeks from the point of placing the order we were notified that the blind was not delivered and therefore the installation would be pushed back. I was trying to be very understanding about the whole situation so I waited patiently for further updates re the delivery. Another two weeks went by and the blind arrived, scuffed, missing instruction manual and lacked parts necessary for the installation. We agreed that the blind would be installed on the 15th October. As anticipated Prestige Windows did not arrive and pushed the date of the installation till the following week- 24/10/25. After 1pm on the day of the installation, I decided to get more information re approx arrival time due to personal commitments and I was told they would notify me when they leave. Hours went by and after 5pm, the company messaged me saying they won't make it. They advised me to seek alternative company to install the blind due to having a hectic work schedule. They were very dismissive from start to finish and refused to compensate us for the blind. They have broken all trust despite us being very understanding and considerate. The blind itself, which cost nearly £800 is useless without necessary parts, manuals and professional who is competent enough to install it. These blinds aren't common in the UK so finding anyone who can fit it, and install all the electrics is next to impossible. The person who I believe is the owner of the company has ensured we would get a refund and admitted to being at fault on a number of occasions, has now has changed his tune. Everything is documented. Having previously claimed responsibility, the company is now stating that they will only consider any refund upon receiving the blind and further inspection, meaning we have to put trust in a company that has broken trust on numerous occasions. For all I know they might claim they have not even received it or I would see any of our money back.So please stay away at all cost, if you don't want to be ripped off. Total scam of a company, which needs to be reported for further investigation.
Very happy with the service and customer service.Arrived on time like agreed, everything was cleaned up after wards also.Very professional and the quality is amazing. Will definitely use again and 100% recommend to others.*****
We made a purchase end of August with Prestige Windows and Doors for an outdoor electric blind, which was meant to be installed by the company. My wife has been handing majority of the communication since she found them online. The company failed to install the blind on more than one occasion, despite prior arrangements, to the point of not even showing up on the day of installation and not informing us until late that evening. We have been going backwards and forwards with emails requesting delivery of the missing parts needed for the installation, which the company claimed they sent 2 weeks ago. They failed to arrange the collection of the blind as promised in both email communication and review reply my wife posted few weeks back. They have completely dismissed all attempts at honest communication and lied continuously to avoid paying the refund. They never intended to install the blind in the first instance and probably just made money on us. I’ve never dealt with a customer service this poor. We have therefore, taken the matters to the Simple Procedure court in Scotland and hoping this will be resolved soon.
AVOID AT ALL COSTMy windows aren’t to British standard and will not pass for FENZA or other building control certificate (meaning you will not be able to sell your house)Company will tell you they are part of a competent scheme but are not and can not issue a certificate then tell you to pay out of you own pocket as they forgot their certificate lapsed. They restraint fix and not frame fix leaving the internal frames a mess, requiring re plastering and redecoration and this is not included in the quote. They don’t measure correctly and then make the windows fit by either cutting into your house or use wood for bigger gaps to make something to drill into and any other gaps they just fill in with expansion foam, lots of expansion foam. They use pvc strips on the outside to cover gaps and holes.Contract states windows will come with a guarantee but they will not provide this is writing. When you contact them to try and come to a solution they stop all contact. In reply to your note- it was you that stopped contact with me and I made more than several attempts to resolve the issue. I then went to the credit card under section 75. You’ve still not issued a certificate nor the guarantee that you said you sent in the post. You’re correct you do not need to be issued a FENZA certificate in Scotland but a certificate of competent person scheme is required of which you said you were but turned out you were not. What date did you join FENZA? I have now applied to the local authority to attend to certify if possible. It may be class a rated but toughened glass has not been used in the patio door and therefore can not be compliant. If you’re that confident in your work allow me to post screenshots of the emails and the work that was carried out on your Facebook profile and let potential customers decide whether they would use you or just answer one question on trustpilot, will you as agreed issue a FENZA certificate and if so by what date?
High quality product (external doors from Gerda), very professional service: from initial quote to installation - communication, great attention to detail and efficiency. I would definitely recommend their services!
