Disappointing Experience with Dietary Needs

I visited a restaurant after receiving a gift voucher for a three-course meal at their Rayleigh branch. Upon arrival for our 6 PM reservation, we were presented with a set menu. My partner, who is gluten intolerant, and I had checked online for gluten-free options and confirmed with our server that the cocktails included with the voucher were available. My partner ordered gluten-free garlic bread and a gluten-free pepperoni pizza, while I chose a gluten-free pasta dish. The garlic bread was tiny and quite thin but tasted acceptable. However, the pizza resembled a tortilla with minimal toppings, far from a traditional pizza. My pasta dish, intended to feature chicken and mushrooms in a creamy garlic sauce, was so dry it seemed as though the sauce was forgotten. I understand that catering to dietary restrictions can be challenging, but if the food doesn't resemble what was ordered, it shouldn't be offered. We also ordered a hot chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which was neither hot nor even lukewarm. The entire experience lasted over two hours, as the staff seemed to overlook us. I would not recommend this restaurant for those with gluten sensitivities, as it was quite disappointing.

I dined with a friend, and while the food was acceptable, the main issue was the refusal to accept cash. I understand that card payments are more common, but customers should have the option to pay in cash, rather than just for the convenience of the service.

Family Dinner Outing

We visited a local restaurant with a group of eight. The place was busy but had a nice warm atmosphere. Drinks were served quickly and correctly. Our food order included starters and mains, all served hot and looking appealing. Everyone enjoyed their meals without any leftovers. We tried a mix of dishes, including pizza and lasagna, and all were excellent. Overall, we had a lovely evening, and our server was attentive and friendly.

Disappointing Birthday Celebration

I had a disappointing experience at a restaurant for my son's 15th birthday with family. We waited over 45 minutes for our order to be taken, as there seemed to be only one staff member serving. While the food was acceptable, I faced issues with billing for alcohol separately, which the waitress questioned. There were long delays between courses, and by the time we asked for dessert menus, our main plates hadn't been cleared. We were then told only ice cream was available due to the kitchen closing early, despite their posted hours. When it was time to pay, we had to find the waitress ourselves, and a service charge was included on the bill. Based on this experience, I won't be returning, as the service was rude and dismissive.

Farewell to the Restaurant

I was disappointed after our visit to a local branch today. While the staff were good, there weren't enough of them, leading to slow service. The worst part was the food. I've been a regular since it opened, but this visit will be my last. The lasagna, once my favorite, had a changed recipe and was unpleasant. The quality of ingredients seems to have declined while prices have increased. The children's meals were overcooked, and the new doughnuts were just overcooked dough balls with chocolate sauce. The Wi-Fi was non-existent, making offers useless. Overall, this used to be a quality place, but it has lost its appeal. Goodbye to this restaurant!

My husband ordered donuts for dessert, expecting something tasty. Unfortunately, they arrived solid, cold, and tasteless. The staff were polite and deducted the cost when he sent them back, but it raises the question of what the kitchen was thinking. The rest of the meal was acceptable and served promptly.

Unsatisfactory Pizza Experience

I visited a restaurant and found the service, staff, drinks, and cleanliness satisfactory. However, my spicy pizza was disappointing, lacking cheese and sauce, with toppings that barely reached the edge. It wasn't spicy at all, and the meat was sparse. This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. When I asked for hot sauce, I was offered balsamic instead.

Mixed Experience with Pricing Issues

The food was delivered hot, and the service was excellent, contributing to a good dining experience. However, prices had increased significantly, which likely explained the low number of patrons. Even with a promotion of buy one meal, get another for £1.00, the overall cost was still high. Despite the pricey menu, a large service charge was added, which I requested to be removed. The lasagna size was more like a child's portion. We may consider other dining options in the future, as the pricing situation seems unsustainable.
