Review Time
As so many others, my account has been suspended due to unusual activity. It is almost impossible to get in touch with customer service without an active account and their Messenger chat support is unwiling to deal with anything account related. You get a bunch of foreign based numbers to contact, some not even possible to use from Denmark, and are asked back and forth to get in touch with the UK and the US. You have to deal with automated services, unwilling to accept other answer than that the issue has been resolved, and when you finally get to speak to an actual person, they are unable to find the related account and purchases. Amazon shows a complete lack of interest in resolving the situation, despite that I have an active account that is already paid for. Since they only accept phone calls as a mean of contact, it is of course impossible to document the purchases, so they continue to claim that I have never been charged for the service. It is incredible that one of the biggest enterprises in the world is allowed to continously cheat their customers in Denmark, without consumer right advocates interfering. Until they resolve these issues, starts offering acceptable customer service options, and reimburse their customers for purchases they do not deliver, I think a ban would be a perfectly reasonable outcome!
Do not consider buying movies on prime. If you cancel your membership you will not be able to view videos you have previously purchased outright (full price etc) better to buy elsewhere ie youtube - Rakuten. Very disappointed. I moved to spain and purchased a movie - was allowed to purchase but couldn't watch the film because I was outside uk. Also as mentioned unable to watch other films I've previously purchased - that being either outside the UK or a resident. Total shambles
My wife and I and actually entire family I have to use Amazon as it's accessibility and my handicap for retail shopping as well as my wife. There is much to be said about good purchases however when it comes to prime video they try to get two people per household on Social Security to pay hundreds of dollars a month for a selection where you have to also pay to see the majority of current movies $10 $20 etc.
Prime video used to be OK with most of new material being available and as it came free with Amazon Prime I was prepared to put up with lots of stuff being only for rent - but at least you had the option to show only the free material liste.Now it’s not worth the bother as the very limited free material is hidden behind adverts and misleading prompts like indicators saying it’s include with prime (which is true) but clicks later you realise you have to pay (so not included in free Prine). Their choice of material is also very American oriented and for a young generation, also overly inclusive to the British eye. They’ve lost the plot and my viewing. Ps “your movie will continue uninterrupted after this break” sums it up
Incredibly bad product and customer service. I started the 7 days free trial and choose to end it again after few days. However, at that point I was unable to login and when trying to reset the password, I got prompted with a message saying internal server error. Tried to get in contact with customer support but that is impossible without being logged in so I was stuck. Then the monthly fee started to be charged and I became even more frustrated. Now I am afraid that all I can do is close my credit card, which I really don’t want to.
