Didn't knock the door or ring the bell, didn't even attempt to, just dumped the package on the doorstep in the rain and then left. I know because I was literally standing behind the door watching him do it through the window.

I don't believe them

I was meant to receive a CD today. I waited in all day and then DHL Express said they had tried to deliver it, unsuccessfully. No-one rang my doorbell at any time today. I was invited to reschedule delivery and was delighted that I could still book for delivery today. Despite having paid a small fortune for signature required delivery, I said that they could leave it downstairs, just so I would get my CD today. I received confirmation of the new delivery arrangement, immediately followed by another message saying, "Delivery attempt could not be completed." I have no idea when or if it will arrive and I have no reason to believe that they visited my home today.
