Customer Service, Customer Service, Customer Service. I made an order early in the morning and there was a glitch (more than likely caused by me). I was billed multiple times for the 1 item I ordered, so I contacted Customer Support. They got back with me in 10 minutes and the whole situation was resolved and reimbursed within another 10 minutes. I used this site to provide information on a home we purchased. It was great! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend PropertyRecs as a very legitimate source of information (after spending long time going through badly organized land records). Thanks Alexander. I was getting charged for a report I pulled once. however, I saw multiple charges. I sent a message and Alex was able to refund my $20 and canceled what ever account I had.
I didn't like that I was blindly signed up for a monthly service fee and was not told but when i reached out to customer service to "close my account" and get a refund they were very happy to do so.
Ordered one report for a few dollars and they scammed me out of hundreds of dollars with a subscription I didn't agree too. They have no way to see if you are subscribed online and don't show that you have a subscription when you log into the account for the report. Only way to cancel is to call them.
I looked up some property reports of few addresses that I was researching through PropertyRecs. com, and it is a very user, friendly platform. It is fast to search, the reports come with a lot of data (ownership, taxes, sales history, liens, etc. ), and the information was generally correct for the properties that I checked.
That said, value for money seems dubious. It is easy to see how $1 each report or a monthly plan for 30 reports can cost a lot, especially when you can get much of this data for free from county or government websites if you are willing to do a bit of research. The customer support eventually responded, but it took longer than I expected, and the reports are not guaranteed for accuracy, which is somewhat disappointing for something you are paying for. In summary, it is a good enough tool if you want immediate access to consolidated property data, but it is not a must, have, and the pricing makes it difficult to rate it more than three stars.
They were able to tell me how many times I had been charged in this particular instance. I believe it was $20 three times. $5 four times and $7 once they asked me about an account that I didn't have any association with after an initial $20 refund. I explained that with my PTSD sometimes I have people in a position of authority or possession of my financial tools they did disclose information about the account that used the site which gives me a recourse through the staffing agencies that supply my caretakers. But the more important matter is that they canceled the account and refunded every charge that had occurred. Their chat agent is not automated. AI it was a real person. Her name was Rachel and she was very understanding of my situation and did the right thing. That's why I've changed my review to five stars even though I don't know what their service is or why I was charged in the first place. But I can state as a matter of fact that they did the right thing and I've had issues with recurring payments in my past. Things that have gone on for years and companies never offered to correct the issue any longer than a month. Maybe two or tell me and redirect me to my credit card who very often couldn't do anything about issues over a year. Luckily this was only a 3-month issue but getting all of my money back and having the accounts canceled. Feels like they're doing the right thing even if somebody else did the wrong thing.
I have all sorts of recurring charges from this company $20,$5, 7$ etc... various credit cards also I am needless to say not very happy about this state of affairs I'm going to start the research and find out how many and how long this has been happening. Cards were for my disabled veteran mother who suffers from PTSD and during the last few years this company has taken a lot if my mother's money....unacceptable!
Perfect for what I required, though I would appreciate having more subscription choices or at least the ability to access it online. I reached out to a representative and learned that my subscription model differed from what I initially signed up for. They processed a refund, but I would definitely consider using the service again.
