O stars to rent cafe.. The previous management company recently sold their property and they deleted all of my rent payments yet somehow there are late fees. I have reached out to rent cafe to delete ALL of my personal information and closed my account with this app, yet no one has answered to my request.
Every month, struggle using this App to pay the rent, errors with passwords , then states the page you are looking for has moved to change the password.Why a property property would want to use this platform is a mystery, unless it's the least expensive, if so proves you get what you pay for and frustrate your tenants.
I was asked to contact any issues I reached out but no one reached back I was having problems with my applications. Mine name and information was duplicated and other states which I didn't understand how that happened throughout different applications I'm not sure of dates right now but it's been months
If you are a property management company, for the sake of your tenants' mental health and your own, do not use this horrible website. I can't imagine a world where the amount of confusion this service causes the renters wouldn't be compounded for the property management or homeowners. The site is buggy, it's portal and payment landing page are not in sync, it's awful. Need to verify a bank account? Just click the "verify" button... if you can find it, haha joke's on you. Stay away from RentCafe!
I have been on the CHA waitlist for over 14 years. and applied to a specific property. Went to the open house last because my name was pulled. Sent by CHA for their pre-application process. Had all the documents needed. When it came to bank statements, they copied 6 months, and they got the pages mixed up. And said that my information was not given promptly. Then CHA sent a letter stating that the RENT CAFE' application should be made through them. And every day, I get emails from RENT CAFE to call to set up a viewing. I am a disabled senior, and all of the misinformation and the things they require of you to do are so misleading, and no one is on the same page. Very sad how business is handled with these companies.
I'm not sure who came up with this idea but the truth is that he screwed up on this one. Once you manage to open an account to rent in a property that is connected to rentcafe, there is no way to rent in another property without opening a new account, unless it is with a new email because the same email is not allowed to be used in more than one account or in more than one property. I've been studying this website called RentCafe for a year, and I can tell you it's a disaster. One of the reasons it's a disaster is because the property management company connected to RentCafe must cancel the applicant's account once the former applicant requests it and is no longer interested in renting. The problem is that the managers are not interested and do not cancel old accounts.
