⭐️ Review: A cautionary tale in boot form ⭐️

Where do I begin. The boots took so long to arrive that I genuinely forgot I’d ordered them. In the meantime, curiosity (and boredom) led me to check the reviews — a decision I wish I’d made before checkout. They were overwhelmingly negative, so I quite sensibly raised a query with my bank about the charge. The bank refunded me while they investigated. All very normal.Enter Faye and Rose customer service, stage left, with what can only be described as an unnecessarily dramatic email threatening legal action and bailiffs unless I immediately paid again. Nothing says “premium shopping experience” quite like being spoken to like an international fugitive over a pair of boots.I tried to explain the situation — that the payment was on hold pending investigation — but was met with more demands and threats. Once my bank confirmed the transaction had in fact been cancelled, I paid again just to make the emails stop.Weeks later (weeks!), the boots finally arrived. And reader… I don’t know whose foot they were designed for, but it definitely isn’t a human one. The shape is baffling, the craftsmanship is poor, and the quality is genuinely awful. For nearly £50, I expected something wearable — not something that looks like it escaped a costume department clearance bin.I’ve now requested a return and refund, though based on the reviews, I’m not holding my breath. Overall, this has been an unnecessarily stressful, mildly threatening, and deeply disappointing experience. My advice? Read the reviews first. I wish I had.

Disappointing Experience with the Online Store

I placed an order for shoes from a website in early January 2026, believing it to be a local boutique based in the UK. However, I received no shipment notification and had to check the site for updates myself. The tracking information has been stuck with no progress for over a week. When I reached out to request a cancellation or refund due to the lack of delivery, the support team declined, stating that orders cannot be canceled once placed; only returns are accepted after receipt, which seem to incur high costs. Their advertised processing and delivery times do not align with my experience. Numerous reviews echo similar concerns about misleading claims and unreliable service. I strongly recommend others to steer clear of this website.

RETURNS ARE TO CHINA WITH COSTS & DEDUCTIONS MAKING IT POINTLESS.

Do not buy from this outlet, if you think that you may need to return an item. They deduct 15% of the price paid and you have to pay for the postage costs to China. The customs requirements have to be met and my expereience with other companies has been that Chinese customs hold the package and you never see a financial return. I hasten to add that we have not returned an item under this companies policy, because it wasn't worth it.

Non-delivery, stuck tracking, misleading UK claims – avoid this site!

Ordered shoes from fayeandrose.com in early January 2026. The site presents itself as a Manchester-based mother-daughter boutique, which made me think it was a local UK small business. No shipment notification was sent – had to check the website myself.Tracking (YunExpress) has been stuck at “Shipment information received” for over a week, with no updates on any tracking sites.Emailed to request cancellation/refund due to no delivery – they refused, said orders can’t be canceled once placed, only returns after receipt (but returns apparently go to China with high costs, per other reviews).Their stated processing and delivery times don’t match the reality.Trustpilot is full of similar 1-star reviews (1.4/5 overall) about fake Manchester/UK claims, China operation, non-delivery, stuck tracking.Feels deceptive and unreliable. Strongly advise others to avoid this website.

Chinese company pretending to be British - Scam!…

I ordered a pink woollen poncho plus two jumpers - one navy and one tan coloured - the order was placed at the end of November. As of today, 5th Jan, I have NOT received the poncho, despite chasing, however I have been sent two horrible poor quality pink jumpers, and the navy and tan ones have arrived too - all very poor quality and 'scratchy' and nothing like the description on the website. I thought I was supporting a Manchester based Mother & Daughter company, but clearly this is another Chinese knock off company luring in unsuspecting British shoppers with a pack of lies. On investigation the same phantom poncho that has never arrived is listed on at least another dozen websites - all of them have great ratings on their own sites, but when you dig deeper on Trust Pilot, all are dreadful with poor products, poor service and run out of China, despite all having 'British' identities and hoodwinking us into thinking we are supporting a small home grown company. I have learnt a painful lesson to dig much deeper before clicking on the order button. Thankfully I used my credit card and M & S have processed a dispute claim from me and given me a charge back. Avoid FayeandRose and all of the other companies promoting a luxury poncho with the same lady in sunglasses strolling along in the video - they all appear to be scam companies, and you will have to pay a huge postal charge yourself to return the items to China - £27.00 in my case! SCAM!

Dreadful quality

Dreadful quality. I only wish that I had seen that Fayeandrose had 97% one star reviews, the other 3% are two stars. One star is generous. I wrote to them asking for an address to send this auful jumper back and they said that as it would cost quite a lot of money to send back to their warehouse in China, would I like a 15% discount off my next order. What a laugh, as if I would want to part up with anymore money for something so unwearable just to get 15% off. It would cost me £25 postage to send back tracked and signed to China, the junper cost me £40. As I wouldn't trust them in refunding me, I think that the better option is to though it away, it's not worth the grief. Their website is extremely misleading.

Avoid this company like the plague

Avoid this company like the plague. I wish I’d never ordered from them and had checked them out beforehand. My item was cheap and shoddy, nothing like the photo on their site from Manchester- wrong- try Beijing. Returns policy is a joke- the customer has to pay for tracking back to China plus a 15% “administration fee”- that’s after waiting for my order for over 6 weeks. Con artists - beware

MAEVE& ELARA. BUYER BEWARE!!,

I would have given 0 stars if possible. I ordered what looked like a really high quality knitted Christmas cardigan 9th December. It arrived 27th not exactly in time. It’s like a cheap printed T shirt. Don’t be fooled by the Boutique image it’s all a farce. The company which often goes under different names isn’t based in this country it’s based in China. I paid £34 50 for a very inferior product. I could have bought a much better one in a local shop, or even in a charity shop. They market their products as high quality but don’t be fooled they’re all lies. I Wish I’d read the reviews before buying. I think I’ve written about 10 reviews on Trustpilot over the years and this is the only NEGATIVE one I’ve ever written.
