I downloaded resy.com to use my American Express Platinum offers and the stupid app kept crashing my phone. Unresponsive. Generally a total waste of time.DONT download if you have an Iphone.Deleted the app and everything went back to normal THANKFULLY!!!!!
Absolutely the worst dining reservation app! Time after time, with various restaurants, Resy doesn't recognize the code they sent me to be able use the site as a guest, then when I try to login it doesn't recognize the email or password I've set up. One of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe finally switched to Open Table becuase of customer complaints with Resy. I end up having to call or email the another favorite restaurant for reservations because their Resy service doesn't work, which discourages me from dining there more often. Bummer!
Resy is an absolutely horrible app. Do not count on it when you are making a reservation. We made a reservation online and it was never put through to the restaurant so when we showed up we were SOL. Also if we hadn’t shown up, it would have charged us $100 per person for our no-show which would’ve been $400 in total. I get how this protects a restaurant but it is absolutely obscene for the consumer. American Express owns this app and I cannot believe they let it be this crappy.
Horrific navigation process to find restaurants in any given area. Very limited restaurant selection and virtually no familiar high-end, popular restaurants are supported by the app. Mostly an exercise in frustration and disappointment. Its like they took the all the superior features of Open Table and and deliberately destroyed them with this app.
Forced by restaurant The Port in Harwich MA to use Resy to make a reservation for that night, literally 5 hours later. Needed to cancel 10 minutes later and received a cancellation charge of $100. The restaurant told us at 1:30 pm that the restaurant was "dead" and no trouble getting a table. This is unfair and a ripoff. No support from resy at all.Do not go to the Port or use resy!
I made a reservation at a local seafood restaurant, 24 hours in advance, for lunch. When I arrived, the hostess had no record of the reservation. There were others waiting for a table, but I showed her the Resy confirmation on my phone and she found a table right away. That's the first time Resy has had a glitch. Not sure if it was a Resy error or the restaurant's.
Why must I create an account to book a reservation? Made it so difficult and in the end didn't even reserve my spot. Used to be able to just call and reserve. At the very least allow me to just put in contact info for my reservation and be done. It's only job appears to be to reserving tables and doesn't even do that well.
