Review Time
They constant emailed asking for me to review and update, but I couldn't see clearly what specifically needed reviewing. It appeared everything had been completed to me. I never received a confirmation that my will was 'official'. I then started to get weekly emails asking for an annual renewal fee which I was not told about when I took out the will. I thought it was a one and done payment. Yes it's cheap, but I'd rather go somewhere where I can deal with real people and know everything is legitimate.
The platform works really well and does exactly what it says it does.However, NO MFA/2FA security measures!with how much personal data it holds on people, with its Digital Vault on top of your Will, its a fraudster's playground if they got in, the fact that there is no way to enable MFA/2FA is the biggest security oversight and a massive flaw.As such they get a 1 star as they are not even doing the minimum to protect your data.
Super easy and way cheaper than going to a in-person lawyer. I did my Will in around 15minutes and it covered everything I needed. I checked a couple things with their support team and then I was done. I noticed I could speak to a lawyer but my Will was pretty clear that it wasn't required. My brother also did his Will and he spoke to a Safewill lawyer as he had a bunch of complexity with his assets and family - even for him it was a fraction of the price of a normal lawyer - we'd both been quoted $2-3k for a traditional lawyer Will and we ended up with the same result but a lot faster.
Quickly did my will on the train ride home, took maybe 15-20 mins tops. The site just asks you plain questions, nothing fancy, so I didnt get stuck. Flat $160 – no weird add-ons – and it got reviewed by their legal team in 2 days. Now wife's off my back about sorting it out 😂
Customer services is non existent: no response to phone calls, no call back to messages left, chat takes almost an hour to get a live agent despite their robot promising it'll be under 30 minutes, then live agent said they'd arrange to call as soon as they could so I requested a call at 2.30pm and never got it and the agent hasn't even messaged. They've flagged updates to my will and I don't understand their reasons why, and I need to update my will urgently but can't talk to anyone, so this is unacceptable. I now see all the other negative reviews here and am concerned safewill could ever be capable of handling my estate and ensuring my will is legally valid. Avoid and get a will elsewhere.
