Had a refit, new boiler and radiators replaced on thursday. Got up Friday morning no hot water no heating. Called in repair guy came out and fixed it. Sitting last night and heard what sounded like water being dumped, jumped up to see and the cupboard and drawer below the boiler was swimming with water. Though ok maybe it's just some residual water from refit do dried it all up and went to bed. Got up this morning and put heating on same thing happened. I called in to report it and was told that as I had hot water and heating it's not an emergency and i am booked in for a visit tomorrow. Why is it not an emergency, it's a brand new boiler that's faulty. Needles to say everything is turned off as I wasn't told if it's dangerous to leave it on as there are electrics around it. Not happy at all.

Amazing Service

After our boiler died I searched for the best deals on the internet for a new one and the best by far was Saltire. The surveyor John Higgins came out and after going over the options he gave us a tremendous deal not just on the boiler but also a 10 year maintenance plan. There was no hard sell and he advised us not to rush into a decision just to let him know what we decided when we were ready. An installation date was set and the engineer Mark, text me to let me know he was on his way. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently by the engineer, electrician and roofer who were all lovely and explained exactly what they were doing. Following installation the engineer went through all the controls and made sure I was happy before he left. Everything was left clean and tidy. John phoned later to make sure I was happy and said there was a gap at the flue where the old flue had been (I hadn’t even noticed it), so he would send a joiner to cover it the next day, which he did. John left me his number and told me to contact him should I have any problems or needed any advice. The service I received from Saltire was excellent and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Reliable Service

Have just had our boiler repaired and serviced with Saltire. Both chaps , Michael did repair and Craig completed the service , were both very competent and respectful of our home.A pleasure to have them in our home and have since set up a yearly service plan at a very competitive price !Job well done Saltire!

I'm with trust housing and had a gas…

I'm with trust housing and had a gas leak so the guys from saltire were called in and john and Ross and another guy went above and beyond too track and repair the fault I can't recommend this company enough it's been stressful but happy with the end result thanks again guys first class work.

I have done work experience with saltire for a few weeks now and it is something I want to make a career out of. Everyone is calm and polite with you and won’t hesitate to teach you things about the company and the service. Anytime I have been out on site my tradesman has taught me something new about becoming a gas engineer and is brilliant with the tenant.

Great Service, came when they said and good price

My 20 year old boiler collapsed at 10pm with water pouring out over the kitchen. Saltire team travelled from Coatbridge to Portobello in 50 mins and turned everything off. The next day the designer turned up at agreed time and designed a replacement solution for a good price. Two days later team showed up and installed new boiler when they said they would and left the place spic and span. Excellent service from Morgan (heating engineer) and Peter (joiner) and the team. Would recommend no problem

This company have been marvellous

This company have been marvellous. My mum (who has now passed away) had great service from Saltire. They were always so prompt coming out when she needed help with her boiler. Even at all hours of the day. Thank you so much! We have now set up with Saltire ourselves now.

High Gas Bill for July

Returned from holiday having been informed of a high Gas bill to find laminate flooring had warped badly. Established that the comb-boiler was on continuously. Saltire responded within hours to establish a leak in hot water supply. Leak identified and repaired once flooring had been lifted. Outstanding service by all concerned
