I called Ramsin, asking for a particular computer build for my business. Within two days, there was my new machine he had built for me, working perfectly in my office. I didn't have to do anything, and I really appreciated how he listened to my needs and did all the work for me at a very reasonable price. He's also helped me with home wireless networking in the past, and his solutions have been stable and reliable. I highly recommend him for all your computer needs.

I initially found Ramsin, owner of PC Mechanic (Santa Barbara Computer Repair), after suffering a computer meltdown during a recent power outage and needing to salvage some important files on my hard drive. He not only quickly saved the key files (I had them within a day), but he also helped me choose a new PC, set it up, transfer my files and programs from old to new, and choose better forms of back-up and virus/malware protection to ease similar situations in the future. All of this support occurred over a span of just a few days, and his pricing was so reasonable that I actually rounded up my payment to express my gratitude for his work. I've been teaching at UCSB and several other major universities for nearly three decades, so my 4 PCs receive a lot of use. When I search for occasional tech support, I focus on four primary issues: (1) technical expertise, (2) timely communication with me, (3) professional courtesy, and (4) fair pricing. Ramsin has earned top marks in each category, and his overall decency as a warm, caring person makes me look forward to every interaction with him. Computer support doesn't get any better than that for me and my needs, and I've continued to rely on Ramsin for many years as needs arise. My highest recommendation.
