This workshop was a great introduction to navigating the Blender UI and getting exposed to the possibilities of modelling terrain using Blender. Elizabeth provided a lot of information in the session and has ensured students have access to the materials to continue to get familiar with Blender after the course.

Outstanding Courses on Blender and GIS

I have completed both Blender + GIS 1 and 2, and I found them to be excellent courses. The instructor is very skilled and has created a series of highly effective hands-on online classes. Each course includes recorded sessions, presentations, and follow-up discussions. Blender 1 provides a gentle introduction to the intricate Blender interface, guiding you through the process of completing your first scene. Blender 2 delves much deeper into the intricacies of creating 3D textures, various techniques for subdividing mesh terrain, utilizing different plugins and Python scripts in Blender, selectively assigning materials, and finally, how to drape vector layers. I wholeheartedly recommend both courses.

The GIS+Blender Course I've Been Looking For

Starting with Blender can be quite daunting, especially when focusing on its application in the geospatial field, which has limited resources. The course effectively guided us through the initial steps while helping us tackle challenges, leaving us equipped to continue solving problems independently. I highly recommend this course!
