I have been using Scrivens opticians for over thirty years. I continue to return because their service has always been professional and personal. They provide a thorough eye test, and examination of the health of the eyes. When my daughter was an anxious child and began to need glasses I took her to Scrivens. Their patience and positivity was a great help.

Westbourne branch provides excellent service with good humour and competitive prices. Mark always goes the extra mile adjusting and explaining patiently, whilst Linda has sorted out all our visual problems for the last four years.

After many years of using a well known high street opticians we decided to visit Bury st Edmunds Scrivens and I am so happy that we did as the people are great and they seem to enjoy working there and kept me informed along the way of everything that was happening, taking good care of me and, very importantly, not upselling to higher grade lenses or designer frames, which I usually spend a small fortune on.
I would highly recommend Scrivens as they treated me like their only customer and made me feel so welcome.
As a wheelchair user, I found the accessibility to be excellent, and the team was incredibly helpful in ensuring a comfortable experience. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere.

Everything was explained thoroughly, making me feel completely comfortable during my visit. It's refreshing to receive such genuine care and professionalism — I highly recommend this place for quality eye or hearing care.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I've received. After being a customer of a previous optician for 35 years, I am now being pursued for payments I do not owe. I maintained a lens payment plan for nearly a year, but after canceling, I was told I owed money, which I paid. Now I'm receiving threatening letters claiming I owe more, which I absolutely do not. If you have a choice, please avoid this company unless you want to be treated unfairly. This is only my second negative review ever, but I feel it is necessary.
