My wife and I have been with Adeslas MyBox Salut for 4 years. Every time we have needed to sign in to the web or app, we had a problem and to resolve this turned into a mission of struggling to get someone on the phone and consistently resulting in a non fix. Today again I am trying to submit a pharmacy bill after a emergency visit to the hospital and the bad service continues making this process impossible.
Worst company ever, rude customer service, I had a referral from a Doctor to see a specialist, I couldn't read the doctors notes that were in Spanish, I was told by the person who answered the phone, that if I live in Spain then I should be speaking Spanish. I wish I could get out of this contract, another eleven months until it ends. Don't get caught up like I did by a representative at Caixa Bank who promoted this Health insurance to me!
These people are a nightmare to deal with, often rude customer service, it is impossible to cancel the policy and they just lie to you.It is almost like they are a criminal organisation so avoid at all costs, there are decent companies available.
The insurance itself is okay BUT it is SO DIFFICULT to cancel the policy. There's only one day a year when you can cancel -- and you have to notify Adeslas at least 30 days in advance. The Adeslas site is down, calling them is a nightmare of being put on hold, and then when you finally get through and send them what they want they will find something to nitpick about and refuse the petition. I find this way of doing business entirely shady and possibly illegal.
I had to get Spanish insurance to get a One-year visa so I paid Adeslas for a year's health insurance. They were helpful with my joining and paying them. My stay in Spain was cut short and I had to leave after five weeks. I contacted Adeslas immediately and used an interpreter to assist me. Once I returned home, I sent further proof that I had left Spain and settled back home but they just don't get back to me. I was hoping for a refund of at least half of my policy but my hopes are fading. I would not advise people to uses Adeslas. I would advise people to wait until they arrived in Spain and use a Stat Dec in their application for a visa, promising to get health insurance once they arrive in Spain. My policy cost just over $3,000 Australian.
I just tried to register with them. They called me back. No English, No idea, will call me back when they can find an English speaking person. Wow! that was a close call! not what they say in their Adverts. I am glad it was not an emergency!
