Review Time
Purchased a 12x8 shed a few years ago, shortly after installation, roof was leaking, they came out, realised the nails they used penetrated shed interior, causing leaks. They came out to fix, rather than remove the felt in question, he just layed felt over the top of old felt (amateur). A few weeks later, leaking again. Same issue, same cause. Contacted again, only agreed to fix as i stated I'd leave negative review, this time, did not remove the two previous layers of felt, did not remove the trim around edge of roof, layed new felt on top of last two layers, no nails, used a little bitumen on edges, did not fold felt as overhang and re-attach the edging boards that surround the shed and holds felt in place. Woke this morning 25/12/2025, top layer of felt blown completely off roof, had it been anchored correctly, held by the side panels and nailed, this wouldnt have happened. Happy xmas, now need to find an actual PROFESSIONAL, to do the job correctly.
When the garden room and shed were purchased, person on sales was very helpful and answered or found answers to our questions.Planning was not required as we were told it was under 2.5mt at highest point. It was only when the local planning authority contacted us that the problems started. With the base we were recommended it now put the building above 2.5 mt. After contacting the site where it was purchased and visiting it that was the last we heard of our problem. I contacted the main website and got an email back saying they had no plans to scale and to use the sales front sheet with a sketch of the building, but this is not to scale. I emailed back to say the sheet will not suit planning requirements and had nothing to do back.I have had to get a scaled front and side elevation done to submit to planning authority and pay a few hundred pounds to submit. Poor after sales service.
The delivery team was incredible, so friendly , very polite and worked fast , tidy up after done.The entire process from buying to delivery and fitting was very smooth and without any problems. Absolutely no complaints what so ever Ilsé Carré
We are pleased with the new potting shed that the Skinners teams built in our garden in Nov 2025.Both the foundation crew and the shed assembly team arrived as planned and were fast, competent and helpful and did not leave any mess behind. All bespoke requirements were met including extra window opening and extra roof height. We have added a rain gutter and fitted timber panels around the base to keep foxes out.
