I bought a heated throw from Slumberdown in January. Straightaway, I found that the controls were faulty so I messaged them via the chat on their website and also by e-mail. Both resulted in an automated messages saying that they were too busy to reply at the moment but I was to follow their returns process i.e return the product. The returns process on the website is useless. There is no address to return a product to or form to accompany it. Eventually I received an automated e-mail from John Cotton Ltd telling me to give them the invoice number (I had already done this in my messages). In the end I sent the throw to an address I found on the internet, enclosed a copy of the invoice and messaged them. Since then, I have heard NOTHING. This was three weeks ago. Now, I've given up and accepted that I won't see the money I paid them ever again.
The wool range is an excellent choice, featuring lightweight high tog duvets that are incredibly cozy. Everything arrived separately, well-packaged, and promptly, which was impressive given the severe winter weather. The customer service representatives were friendly and helpful in addressing a sizing mistake I made during the order; they truly represent the company well.
I ordered a king size dual zone electric blanket with two controllers. Upon arrival, I found a note stating it was out of stock and I received a free upgrade. However, the replacement only has one controller, meaning my partner and I can't adjust our sides independently. This was the main reason for choosing the dual control option. It's frustrating that there’s no phone support, and email responses take up to five days. Very disappointed with this downgrade.
The wool duvet arrived with one side unstitched, exposing the filling. I'm surprised that quality control allowed this to happen, especially since wool duvets are not cheap. This oversight is quite disappointing, and it’s tough to reach customer service if you didn’t buy directly from the company.

Everything, including the duvets, bed topper, and four pillows, arrived separately and well-packaged within a few days, even during harsh winter conditions. The customer service team was incredibly friendly and helpful in correcting a size issue I had during my order, truly a testament to the company.
The throw was mistakenly delivered to the wrong address and left on a gate. Luckily, I found it using the delivery photo. The package had a small address label, making it easy to confuse numbers in the dark. Overall, the throw is super soft, heavyweight, and the neutral color combination of cream and light brown is fantastic.
