Initially Concerned, But Ultimately Satisfied

I placed an order with a seller and then read the reviews, which made me worry I might have made a mistake. However, my experience turned out to be very positive. The support team was quick to respond and helpful when I noticed an error with the delivery address, and the order (a gift) arrived on the requested date. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I didn’t receive any email updates on the order or delivery status, as the platform didn’t ask for an email contact.

The products are excellent, but there are numerous delivery issues. The delivery and billing sections on the website can be quite confusing. A disappointing experience with my order

I placed a small order for smoked cod roe and paid via a payment service. Unfortunately, there were four missed delivery appointments despite waiting indoors for four days without a specific time given. I ended up canceling the order and got reimbursed through the payment service.

Reliable service despite challenges

I recently placed an order and it arrived on the correct day and within the given timeframe. I’ve been using this service for many years and learned that negative reviews were related to a significant storm that affected their physical locations. Although the café and shop are closed, they still operate their online order service normally, and I plan to continue using them. They informed me they are now under new management.

Delivery timeline not reliable

The service indicates that delivery may occur a day earlier or later than requested. Even with ample notice, my chosen delivery date was the earliest available. I took a chance, assuming a good likelihood of receiving my order. I accepted the risk of a courier issue but didn’t expect the hold-up due to some items being unprepared. Most companies I deal with would split orders or at least send timely notifications. My notification that it was on its way actually meant 'not yet dispatched.'

Left in the dark as a customer

After successfully ordering venison in the past, I tried to order smoked halibut. The payment was processed, and the order was confirmed, but then I received no further communication. My email inquiry went unanswered, and when I called, I was told they couldn’t assist due to system issues. Luckily, it was a small order, and I only lost a bit of money. Avoid this service

I strongly advise against using this service! They used to be a premium supplier, but now they only offer mass-produced fish from factory farms; they don't even smoke their own products anymore. There's no reason to pay a premium for quality you can find elsewhere. Their business is struggling after laying off most of their staff to cut costs, which explains the order mishaps. They seem to be heading towards failure, so don’t risk being left in the lurch.

Very poor customer service

I received the wrong order on December 21st and tried to call but got no response. I sent two emails without any reply. Eventually, I managed to speak to customer service last week and was promised a call back, but that never happened. When I called again, the only way to avoid being cut off was to select the option to place an order. I was assured of a call back regarding my refund, but they couldn’t tell me when that would occur. There’s no clear escalation process, and the lack of customer care is concerning.
