So sick of pricing errors!!!! Every time I shop I find errors in pricing... have to not only bring back the receipt, but the product as well, and argue with the customer service people. I go to the shelf and take a picture of the price or special offer tags and show them. They are not apologetic and make me feel like I'm begging for the return of such a piddly amount that I am wasting their time. Meanwhile, how many people never even check their receipts???? Does not feel like a mistake - feels like stealing. Hey Sobey's, how 'bout you stop with points and bonuses and stupid games - JUST GIVE US FAIR PRICING!!!!!!!
The store at Kipling/Queensway in Etobicoke has permanently closed as of last October, and that's a relief. They were selling expired pet food with a date of 09/15/23 still on the shelves. This is over two years past its expiration! It's shocking how this could happen. I ended up buying some, unaware of the expiration date, which resulted in my dog suffering from food poisoning and nearly dying. After two days of severe illness, I faced hundreds of dollars in vet bills due to a $2.00 can of dog food. I am currently reaching out to the company to understand how this situation occurred. Customers need to be vigilant about checking expiration dates; it seems corporations prioritize profits over safety. Today it was pet food, but tomorrow it could be food for people or children. If they can sell subpar products without consequence, they will. Large corporations must be held accountable for their actions. A one-star rating feels too generous, but it's the lowest option available. I won't be returning to this store.
I used to prefer this store, but now it's off my list. I'm receiving constant messages about my rewards card usage, and despite my feedback, it seems ignored. Staff tend to argue even when proven wrong, making interactions frustrating. It's like communicating with a wall, both with corporate and in-store.
The store at Kipling/Queensway in Etobicoke has permanently closed, and it's a relief considering they were selling expired dog food dated over 2 years old. I have evidence of this. I bought some without checking the date, which led to my dog getting food poisoning, resulting in serious health issues. A small purchase turned into costly vet bills. I'm reaching out to the company for an explanation on how this was allowed. Customers should check expiration dates, as corporations prioritize profits over safety. If they can sell expired products without consequence, it raises concerns for all consumers. I would rate them lower if possible, but this is the minimum. I will never shop there again.
I can't trust the checkout process here, as I frequently get double charged for random items. When I bring this up, the response is dismissive, and it feels like the customer's to blame. If this is happening to me, how many others are affected without realizing it?
