I have a 3 year old oil boiler. serviced for the first time last year by Solv.Service was great and professional.This year I again requested a service online and paid upfront.The engineer was polite, but pointed out that he was not able to replace the nozzle because he didn't carry the part. He really should have as it was clear on the job order what the boiler make and model was.It took him a little over an hour to complete the work.Where my annoyance comes in is:1. Tried to get me to pay an extra fee because it took him longer than the hour.2. Not replacing a nozzle because he was not carrying a part. Telling me it Should be okay until next year.3. Terms and conditions clearly state that with fixed priced agreements there will be no additional or reduced costs regardless of the time taken.4. There were no unforeseen circumstances to warrant the additional charges.
The engineer who came out was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful, showing me exactly what was wrong and explaining what was needed to fix it. I appreciated that he then gave me an approximate price and checked if it was ok before starting the work. I also appreciated that I received an immediate invoice with a breakdown of the parts needed and specific work done.
