Review Time
I had a cracked stock intercooler and ordered the aluminum intercooler. IMO it’s a great price for what you get compared to the big brands. Installed in about an hour, though I wish it came with new lower rubber mounts. It corrected my low boost pressure and so far is holding up solid. I would definitely recommend.
Ordered the valve cover for my 07 ram 2500. Part arrived in a reasonable time. The fit and finish were perfect. No leaks. The o ly thing i have negative to say is that the catch can provided was not a good product. I did however purchase a upgraded one and it works flawless. The cost of the valve cover and two catch cans was less than a third of the cost of a stock valve cover alone. The install was a breeze. Satisfied customer.
Kit was complete, customer service helped when arrival date was a little late. Always returned emails answering questions I had. everything in the kit went together very well satisfied with the overall outcome of this project.
As anyone in business understands your product can be amazing but if your customer service sucks, people are not happy. I would never use spelab for tuning your vehicle. The response rate is minimal to none with days of span in between communication. If I owned a shop I would never allow a truck to come in without having all of the tune files from Spelab before they brought the truck in. I personally was doing the work on my truck myself and the whole process has been heavily prolonged due to the lack of speed from spelab regarding getting the tune files.
Buyer beware!!! The absolute worst customer service and Communication is a joke!! Something’s wrong with your purchase good luck!! Spend the extra money on an american build product! I learned the hard way and have lost $1000’s because of Spelab!! I will never buy anything from Spelab again!! I wish so badly i would have spent another $300 on a good oil pan, exhaust and valve cover!! All junk and leaks and fitment is off. No customer service and good luck trying to get warranty. All installed by a pro shop!! Now spending more $1000’s to remove them and install all oem because ive lost so bad and dont have the extra money! Imagine needing this truck for work and you don’t have one. Talk about being completely screwed for two weeks. Even the shop feels bad and is trying to help me and discount!! Don’t let this happen to you, trust me!!
their customer service its very bad,, they take whole day to respond.. no phone number so you will not talk to someone.. it's a bummer as their products don't seem bad quality... I place an order and the all-in-one delete kit is missing the screen.. turns out I don't need item anyway. I'm trying to return item and they haven't respond .. going on 12 hours.. If they step up i will update my review.
Customer service is HORRIBLE!!!! Their return policy states, “FOR ANY REASON”. I bought two products from them at the same time, an after cooler pipe kit and a cold air induction kit.
The two items were supposed to be delivered the same day, UNTIL delivery day. I got an e-mail saying the cold air kit would be two days late.
I installed the after cooler kit and left my truck sitting disassembled for two more days waiting for the cold air kit. The kit arrived, but was NOT a direct fit. I had to force the pipe to try and get it to fit, and the fitting for the crankcase ventilation was not even close to lining up, which also had complaints in the reviews. I decided to not install the kit and reinstalled the stock intake system.
I contacted customer service for a return authorization, which their policy stated was required, and two days later at 230am received a response stating they needed pictures of why the part would not fit. I explained the problem and told them I had reassembled my truck because I needed it and could not provide pictures. I also reminded them of their, “FOR ANY REASON” return policy. Two days later….at 230am I received a response stating they needed pictures of why the part would not fit. I replied with the same response and heard NOTHING back.
I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. Today….4 days after the fact, I get an e-mail from customer service asking if I sent the part back, and if so, please send them the tracking number.
I responded with, how can I send the part back with no authorization code or return address???
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! pay a little more and buy from a reputable company!!!
Update: Funny how after the review “Mina” responds and states, Spelab should’ve provided me with a return address, yet when they replied instantly to my e mail they STILL have not provided me with an address to return the product. I wish I could add a picture, so I could show the MULTIPLE e mails back and forth between myself and this customer service!! I stand by my original statement, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Purchase elsewhere!!
The instructions for the EGR delete kit are completely inadequate; the exhaust kit was misleading. When the kit arrived, I expected a full system, but I had to modify my tailpipe to prevent exhaust from leaking under the bed. After two weeks and filing a chargeback, they still haven't provided the correct tune needed for my truck to operate. I've spent countless hours trying to sort this out, but the software sent separately seems to be for a different transmission, leaving my truck undriveable for two weeks. If this isn't resolved soon, I will have no choice but to purchase a tuner from another provider that includes preinstalled tunes, which is what I should have received. The ordering process did not mention the need to program the tuner for it to work. I will not be ordering from a service that lacks a technical support contact number again.
