Very disappointing experience.
A spindle revision that started with a quotation of around €8,000 ultimately ended up costing nearly €18,000. The significant cost increase only became clear after disassembly and lacked transparency.
What was initially expected to take about two weeks ended up taking almost 12 weeks, resulting in substantial machine downtime and additional costs on my side.
After reinstallation, multiple wiring errors were discovered, including incorrect motor phasing and wrongly connected cables. As a result, modules inside the spindle were damaged. These issues were identified by qualified service technicians during installation.
Despite these findings, the company refused to accept responsibility and even threatened legal action over a remaining balance of approximately €500, while a substantive dispute regarding the work and resulting damage is still ongoing.
Due to the extreme cost increase, long turnaround time, and technical errors, I cannot recommend this company and would not do business with them again.

After increasing costs from spindle manufacturer to repair our spindles, HSK100A, I looked into alternative companies and found DER SPINDELDOCTOR as a viable alternative. Not only have they reduced our repair costs, they have investigated potential solutions to help prolong the expected life time of these spindles. There has been some issues on the way as our spindles are quite unique and have a lot of specialists designs on components but they have always communicated clearly any delays and the reasonings. Any issue has had clear follow up to ensure we do not have the same issue again. Would certainly recommend them.
After contacting Huron and Cytec direct (the spindle manufacturers) we were told that they would not look into our issue at all. Huron YOM 1995We tried in-house to fix the issue, but had no luck!We thought we were going to have to buy a retro-fit Spindle and have it made it order. This would have been a very expensive option!After researching and finding ORO/The Spindle Doctor, we were told they could indeed help fix our spindle. 2 days later, the spindle was in Germany, dismantled and we had been quoted for the fix. Which we proceeded with straight away. The service was thorough and professional, and we now have the spindle back and operating like it was new!Excellent service from start to finish.
this experience has been the most disappointing we’ve had with any business partner to date.From the beginning, the process has been marked by significant delays in deploying the installation team, which caused substantial losses on our side. Furthermore, when the team did arrive, they were unable to resolve the issues independently, requiring extensive support from our internal team.While my team did not include these concerns in the installation report, I trust my detailed feedback email has already communicated our experience in writing.
