Worst company ever . I placed an order on the 28th January for delivery on 6th Feb. On 6th Feb I get

Worst company ever . I placed an order on the 28th January for delivery on 6th Feb. On 6th Feb I get a grovelling email blaming problems going back to COVID for the delay and promising delivery on the 12th of February with free goodies to apologise. Guess what? No order, no communication, no answer to any of my email, WhatsApp or phone calls.
How can they expect to run a business like this, and even worse, they are still running offers and taking orders, while ignoring customers who have already paid them for outstanding orders. As far as I can see, they are just a bunch of charlatans and, everyone should stay well clear of them.

Frustrating Lack of Communication

For all those expressing frustration about the inability to reach this company (which consistently fails to respond to calls or messages), it's worth mentioning that the Owner has just instructed me to contact him on a specific number. Quite helpful!

Superb quality meat

Superb quality meat. Ive been using Stilton Butchers for 3 years plus and never had a late delivery ever until this week. And so what? The meat is well worth the wait. Sometimes things go wrong and thats life and fortunately I have some empathy and understanding. I will absolutely continue to buy from here in the future.

Seems like they're no longer operating.

It appears they may have gone out of business. They don't respond to calls and there's no reply to emails. Their social media is filled with complaints about the service. Despite this, they keep promoting their products. BE CAREFUL!

They must have gone out of business. They don't answer the 'phone (01733 866551) and don't reply to Emails. Social media is full of complaints about this company. YET, they continue to advertise their wares.BEWARE !!

I would highly advise anyone thinking…

I would highly advise anyone thinking about placing an order with this company to look elsewhere. Placed an order which was meant to be delivered 26/11. The order did not arrive and have since been promised multiple other days and still no sign of delivery. It seems they have multiple emails scripted to send to people ranging from the owner being ill to it being a busy bank holiday period when it hasn’t even been bh, to blaming it on the delivery company. There are plenty of other places to order meat from online at competitive prices and I will not use this company again. I will be going through my bank to start the refund process.

abysmal

Further to my earlier comments. They are still not answering phone calls and emails. My order was "delivered" by DHL, after laying in their warehouse for four days!! The box was a soggy mess, totally ruined. I am now having to reclaim my purchase money through my bank who are taking it up with Stilton. The "service" has been diabolical. What is wrong with this company?.

They don’t deliver

Placed an order which was expected 28/11/25, not received, no communication to say it wasn’t going to be delivered, not responding to emails, poor customer services. Will never use again. Speaking with bank to get money back.

I am revising my earlier one-star review

I am revising my earlier one-star review to give a clear and accurate account of my experience. When I wrote that initial review on the seventh of this month, I had not received any delivery. Since then, I have received two separate deliveries, both of which were severely delayed due entirely to DHL’s mishandling. Because of these unacceptable delays, both deliveries had to be disposed of.Throughout this entire situation, Stilton Butchers have been exemplary. I have spoken with several members of their team, and every interaction has been courteous, respectful, and genuinely focused on resolving the problem. They arranged a full replacement after the first failed delivery, ensured it was dispatched as promised, and honoured every commitment they made.I regret leaving my original one-star review, as it did not reflect the conduct of Stilton Butchers. My criticism lies solely with DHL, whose negligence caused both deliveries to be rendered unusable. Stilton Butchers acted professionally at every stage and could not have done more to rectify the situation. DHL, shame on you!!
