An employee mistakenly closed my account, and the company has been unresponsive.

As I write this at 9:15 AM, I’m awaiting a call from a district manager. If I don't hear back by 9:30, I will reach out to them. Depending on the outcome, I may update this review to either 1 or 2 stars. I opened an account at this location in April. In November, I sought my bill to pay early, only to find nothing under "My Units" on the site. Concerned, I called them. The representative admitted he accidentally initiated a move-out process. He assured me my items were still there and that he would create a new account for billing on Dec. 1. I had already received multiple calls from the company about this new account. On Dec. 1, I received two calls asking for payment, but I couldn’t make it at that time. They said I had until the 4th. Now, on the 4th, I see five accounts created for billing, none showing a balance. When I called at 9 AM to clarify, the customer service agent seemed confused about the issue. The problem is that my belongings are in their storage, and they randomly closed my account. At 9:50 AM, I called again and was told the manager wouldn't call back soon due to having many customers. Now, I’m firmly at 1 star. Eventually, he called the store, and my account is now paid with a supposed refund for two months coming.

However, they have been charged for a climate control unit they do not possess, and the company has not provided any explanation for the overcharges or issued a refund. Poor customer service

The representative I spoke with was rude and unhelpful. I’ve been charged for climate control that I do not have. She suggested I switch to a different unit and stated that she couldn’t assist further. This was at a specific location.

I spoke with a representative regarding an online special, and she was incredibly helpful. Her positive attitude lifted my spirits during a challenging search for a suitable unit. She adjusted the pricing after realizing the online quote was incorrect and even provided a free lock, which was a great benefit. It's refreshing to interact with someone who enjoys their work. The company is fortunate to have her on their team, and I appreciate her excellent customer service.

Avoid this facility

I decided to try this facility based on a friend's recommendation. Due to my work hours, I booked a unit online at a specific location, which advertised a unit for $6.24 a week. Upon payment, I received an email stating the actual price was $12.47 a week, along with additional fees that totaled $75.63. I was shocked and called them immediately to cancel the unit. The representative was unhelpful and continued to explain the fees despite my requests for a refund. After disconnecting the call, she called back, still yelling, making it impossible to communicate my card details for the refund. The admin fee seems unjustified as no service was provided. This feels more like a cash grab than a legitimate business practice.

A representative at this location provided a thorough walkthrough, making the facilities and agreement easy to understand. The tour was excellent, and he helped me make informed choices for my unit. Friendly and detailed service like this is hard to find.

Deteriorating quality of service

It's better to choose a local independent storage provider than this large corporation. They impose hefty fees upon moving in with unnecessary insurance, locks, and account charges. After a few months, the rental prices skyrocket by around 33%. They also attempt to raise insurance costs without informing customers. At a specific location, staff have been observed watching customers access their lockers. The customer portal is difficult to navigate, making it hard to manage accounts.

We interacted with several representatives, and all were extremely professional and helpful. They ensured we were allocated the right storage solution and considered our needs at every step. We ended up canceling our storage due to our accommodation being ready earlier, and the cancellation process was smooth, with a prompt refund. Their willingness to assist was greatly appreciated; I would rate their customer service a perfect 10.
