I have only booked my ski holiday so far with Sunweb, so excited to see how it goes..... I found the booking process really easy with lots of options to personalise it for me, and I have received informative emails as a follow up. Only one small issue, I have submitted a query and not received a reply as yet, but as its not super important I will not worry.....
Hopefully my holiday will be as good :)

Disappointing experience at a supposed '4-star hotel'

Spent nearly £3000 for a 7-day Christmas holiday at this so-called '4-star hotel'. The food was subpar, and there was no Christmas menu available. When we inquired about ordering one, we were asked to pay extra and were outright refused. Additionally, don't rely on the swimming pool, as the water was uncomfortably cold.

I’ve booked through the service four times, and each time has been quite similar. The accommodation quality can vary greatly. Essentially, you get what you pay for; if you choose a budget option, expect a subpar experience, while a higher-rated option is significantly better but more expensive. It’s rare for everything to be arranged seamlessly by the service. Typically, you need to collect ski passes from the local ticket office without clear instructions. The same applies to rental equipment. The app vouchers often fail, so it's wise to bring your invoice and ID as proof of payment. I’ve only seen representatives from the service at the resorts twice, and they seemed more focused on socializing than being available for questions. Always verify room sizes when booking. The images often don’t reflect reality, and amenities like pools or ski-in/ski-out access can be misleading, so thorough research is advisable. In conclusion, while they offer lower prices compared to others, it does come with trade-offs. If you manage your expectations, you should be fine.

Unfortunate booking experience

I made a booking last night for a hotel and ski pass (without flights) but realized I made a mistake, so I messaged immediately to cancel, only to find the office was closed. When I called at 9am, I was told cancellation wasn’t possible. While I understand the service doesn’t offer a 24-hour cooling-off period, common sense should apply when a customer is trying to cancel a booking that is five weeks out, within 12 hours of reserving. I expected better from the service.

Acceptable if your expectations are low

Essentially, you get what you pay for; if you opt for a budget option, expect a 1 or 2-star experience. Upgrading to a 4 or 5-star place is much better but significantly more expensive. It's uncommon for everything to be organized perfectly. You usually need to retrieve ski passes from the local ticket office without guidance. The app vouchers often don't work, so it's advisable to bring your invoice and ID as proof of payment. I've only seen representatives on two occasions, and they were often socializing and not approachable. Always check room sizes when booking. The pictures rarely match reality, and amenities like pools or ski-in/ski-out access can be misleading, so do your research. In summary, they may be cheaper than others, but it comes with compromises. If you manage your expectations, you'll be fine.

Generally good, but lacking phone support

Overall, everything went smoothly, and the website was easy to navigate; however, the only drawback was the absence of a phone support option for bookings.

As in previous experiences, finding a resort, selecting extras, and completing the purchase was straightforward. Past holidays have gone perfectly, so I have high expectations this time.

Overall, a fantastic holiday!

The hotel was clean, welcoming, and the food was excellent. We were skiing during the peak season, but with three adult children, we felt we received great value for the all-inclusive package. However, I missed some details during booking—the ski hire didn’t include helmets, and we had to locate the ski hire shop to provide our details (shoe size, weight/height) to avoid delays when picking up our equipment for the first day’s lessons. The transfer costs also felt a bit high.

Fantastic service

A great service with excellent deals. Knowing that the lift pass is always included is a fantastic perk. Booking online is also easy. This is our third booking with the service, and I don’t plan on using anyone else in the near future.
