Similar experience to previous reviewers. First I was aware was a subscription renewal email, for something I had never knowingly subscribed to, and not a service I would ever want. Two payments of £34.90 taken from debit card. Subscription cancelled and both payments eventually recovered by submitting more than one COMPLAINT to their “support” email shown on their website. Some persistence was required - initially they only refunded one payment. Also kept in contact with bank to stop any further payments. If you require assistance in recovering any payments taken, contact Citizens Advice Consumer Service or Advice Direct Scotland Consumer Service - both of these are also a route to report to Trading Standards which enforces business compliance with consumer law.

Oh my the same thing happened to me as of other reviews, didn’t subscribe to anything, and like everyone else PayPal request for £0.00 and of course felt they are going to try to take my money. Lo and behold they tried to STEAL £34.90 but my bank declined the transaction. Beware people they are scammers!

I received some furniture from Laura James and had a QR code to register my guarantee. This QR code unfortunately signed me up to this company which is a COMPLETE SCAM!! They charge you £0 then in 2 days they charge you £34.90 for a monthly membership for RECIPES!! I phoned tasty troves an Indian answered with just 'hello' and couldn't understand how to spell my name REBECCA. After 15 minutes English lesson he said my membership was cancelled and then hung up on me! Complete scam!! BEWARE!!!
Last week, I was trying to look up a manual for one of the kitchen appliances at work, found a site I’d used before. The download link was sandwiched between ads and whenever I clicked on something to try to download it I kept getting Apple payment popping up. Eventually, as the amount was £0.00 and I was getting frustrated, I just clicked to “pay”. I felt uneasy about it, so checked on my wallet, emails, etc and could see nothing to indicate that a subscription had been set up. I had a notification from my bank yesterday that a transaction for £34.90 had been attempted but thankfully my bank blocked the payment. Still have the issue of having to cancel my card and wait for a new one to arrive, and then try to find all the (legit) payments that are set up on that card to update the details. Looking at the tasty troves website I came across a “link” to cancel a subscription and found it’s not clickable, they’ve just made it look like a link. I’m annoyed that I got scammed, but thankful that I didn’t lose any money, will trust my instincts in future.
