Review Time
My experience was disappointing due to the quality of local audiologists. They claim that 95% of people have a nearby provider within 9 miles, but I found the closest one was 45 minutes away. Although there were two other options, both had poor reviews. I chose the nearest provider, who had decent ratings, but it took two weeks to get an appointment. I brought a recent audiogram with me, knowing I wanted specific hearing aids. The provider didn’t conduct any hearing tests or inquire about my hearing issues. Instead, he ordered the hearing aids and prepared custom ear molds, which he sent off to be made. After four weeks, I returned to his office for the setup. I requested some custom programs, but he struggled with the devices and decided to send them back, leaving me without the aids. While the service team was professional and refunded my money, the entire process felt like a waste. It became clear that the company doesn’t thoroughly vet their providers. The technology is advanced, but my audiologist lacked the necessary knowledge. It's crucial to research and ensure your chosen provider is knowledgeable about current technologies. I realized that having a competent audiologist is just as important as the hearing aids themselves. I plan to find a qualified professional and pay full price to ensure I get the right help. When it comes to hearing, don’t compromise.
After paying thousands for 2 pairs of hearing aids in 10 years, I found a gem in ZipHearing! My local audiologist quoted me $6500 for my next pair of Resound’s. I decided to do a little research and found ZH amongst others. From the first phone call with Derrick, I was hooked! I tried Phonaks and was unhappy, then I went back to the top of the line Resound instead. The exchange during the 45 day trial period was easily done because Derrick often would tell me: “I want you to be satisfied.” How can you beat that???Derrick was totally knowledgeable about his products, he set me up with a local audiologist and he was easy to contact if I had any issues.This is a new business model for this septuagenarian, but I’m pleased to say that I saved $2500 and had a good experience with a great outcome!Thank you ZipHearing and especially Derrick! Only wish I had known about you sooner, but I will pass the word.
Buying my hearing aids was made so much easier and so much less expensive by Zip Hearing. Derrick Pirkey answered every question with out ever making me feel foolish for asking any of them. I found them through the Soundly website. Thanks to Derrick I would absolutely give Zip 10 stars if I could!!!
I don’t know the story behind the negative comments but they are bull as far as I’m concerned! Something smells fishy about them. I got my Widex aids from them and they hooked me up with a great local fitter who has taken excellent care of me ever since. They also saved me $1000.00 over what I was quoted by local audiologists I consulted before I found them. To tell the truth, I can’t remember how I found them! (I’m 83 and I’m not sure what I had for supper!) All I can say is they are a first-rate outfit and Jeff took great care of me after too many years of competition shooting and my squad car siren (retired big-city cop) wrecking my high-frequency hearing. Ignore the negative stuff.
A friend bought a set of phonak hearing aides and told me about the two chip technology and was really happy with there performance. I was researching them online and happened on to Zip hearing. I called and discussed them with Derrick Pirkey of Zip hearing. He walked me through the process and and answered all my questions. I bought the top of the line phonaks and ended up saving $2800 on the pair over what my long time audiologist would sell them for!
I didn't have a good experience. I did some browsing online and made the mistake of putting my phone number in, a requirement just to SEE the price. Now these people won't stop calling me, driving me crazy, because they just switch numbers when you block one. I won't make that mistake again!
I should have known better than to fall for the lowest price on the internet! Sadly, I helped my mother get hearing aids from these people and have had nothing but problems. There's no one to go see or deal with in person...once the trial period ended so did the service
I found Mr. Derrick Pirkey to be one of the best consumer sales persons I have ever dealt with. If ZipHearing has all sales persons like Mr. Pirkey, I suspect their business will do very well. He is extremely responsive (within minutes). He is very professional, polite, and mostly, knowledgeable. I did get an exceptional discount from the company over local ENT's but the review is mostly because of my customer service experience with Mr. Pirkey.
After seeing and trying several Audiologists and hearing Aids, I struck gold with ZipHearing! First and foremost they provided several YouTube Reviews which provided the education I needed to make a much better decision about what I needed. I went to see their recommended audiologist and got a much better price. Thanks ZipHearing!!
