If I could give this zero I would. I am so sick the TD Bank putting a hold on my card because they decide the transaction looks funny. It happens over and over. I was in Mexico I had to book another flight home and I couldn't. I'm trying to buy gifts they're all wrapped ready to go my card wouldn't work. I spent 2 hours on the phone with TD they transferred me down on how many different people. I had transferred $2,100 for getting my limit was 1,000 it didn't go through of course. They put a block on my card because of this. They released the car it still wouldn't work then they released the card again they made me go over the bank still wouldn't work . And on and on to where they said they couldn't do anything they raised my limits they said. Luckily a lady came in the store I transferred her the money she paid for the gifts. I'm at the airport I can't even buy a cup of coffee mind you this is after the 2 hours on the phone the day before.
I get home I go to the bank the next day it's on hold I put my PIN number in they want my driver's license I said I have my passport. The passport is not on our file we need your driver's license and we have to call fraud prevention. Believe me I have some choice words I said close my account now we can't I said you have my card I put my PIN number in there and there's my passport you I have no reason to keep my money. She called the fraud place I said I want to talk to him she's holding the phone in front of her and she's saying I'll let you talk to him if you speak nicely on and on and on I just grabbed the phone right out of her head. I said I want to know what transaction since yesterday put a hold on this card again. It was the same damn transaction 2100 transfer I couldn't believe it. I said close my account well we can only give you $500 today you have to order the rest I said you're telling me you don't have $5,000 in this Bank. I said never mind I'll get it out of the interact they raise my limits on that 2-hour call. She said you're only allowed to take a thousand I said no they raised the $5,000 well they didn't. She said I'll give you a thousand wow thank you. I just want to make a purchase and guess what I have not used that card except withdrawing $1,000 from the bank. I'm on hold for the last 37 minutes. I am going to order I believe 137,000 in cash plus my $3,000 and I'm going to pick it up and they can stick their account where the sun doesn't shine.
They have declined payments before $3.99 to Google
For Amazon purchases. Now those are two companies I wouldn't trust my email was shut down luckily Google put it back up as I relied on this.
They do it with my mother's Visa over and over and over and over. I mean on a regular basis. What gives them the right to decide over my account. It's for safety it's for your own protection. They've done it with Amazon on her yet they'll let her buy something from some scam Chinese company. I told him I wanted it off my account no more it's none of their business. We can't do that.
I can't even deposit cash or checks in my bank account it reads the check puts them out spits it out. I can't remember their answer when I asked him about it they said maybe it's it was so ridiculous a suggestion I remember maybe the machine is full and there's no room to take your money or check.
I got a new bank card and right away I lost I go back in I get a new card but they didn't cancel the first one. Last time they asked me why do I have two I said I don't know I shouldn't they canceled one. Until yesterday why do you have two bank cards I said I shouldn't they canceled one. Apparently not now they're trying to decide which one to cancel I said obviously not this one. The machines won't work half the time you go and they're not working.
By the way I'm still on hold 48 minutes so far. I don't know if other banks are like this I hope not but I'm not putting up with it one more second I'm going to make a formal complaint can't wait to find out why it is back on hold. Oh yeah I had my mother's Visa in Mexico with me in case I needed it. I used it a duty free when I went I left Canada use it a few other times all small stuff. I tried to use it at the gift store first and it wouldn't work it was blocked. I'd taken 5000 pesos with me because there were tons of banks you could use Visa you can use your debit. The day I was flying I was taking a cab I asked how much it was he said 650 pesos. I had 640 pesos to my name. After this call I will be phoning Visa on my mother's behalf. Whatever you do pick anything besides the TD
Ps I gave up after 54 min. Now I'm going to call TD stolen credit cards see if I get through faster than they can transfer
Not happy using TD App on IPad. Can’t find my tax documents & year-end tax information. Called the number provided. Had my identity confirmed after access card entered & security code confirmed. Was connected to first agent, couldn’t help me. Transferred me to a second agent who also couldn’t help me. Then a third agent came on, and he asked me for my access card number. Now, I refused to give him that because how do I know that he’s authentic & also he should have my information displayed on his computer especially if I had been transferred 3X. I ended my call with frustration.
I had used been accessing my TD accounts via IPad login but for the last 2 weeks an error message kept showing. So I decided on downloading the TD App which was a mistake. I’m not happy with this App at all!
More Human - are you kidding me? I have been a customer for 20 years and the service just keeps getting worse. Spent an hour in a branch and on the phone with customer service. The branch person just got bounced around from queue to queue without resolution. So, I emailed through the portal a week ago - with no response.
This bank blocked mine and girlfriend’s cards because of purchases at few dollars at shops and supermarkets abroad. No access to mobile phone = cant get verification code = cant verify ourselves = cant unlock the cards and no access to money abroad 😂😂😂 -5 out of 5
My experience with the bank was terrible! I attempted to access my account, but it was locked. A kind representative advised me to call a number for fraud issues, but the person I spoke to was incredibly rude! He refused to let me access my own account and wouldn’t explain why. He insulted me, calling me disrespectful names, and went as far as deactivating my account while keeping my funds. I am appalled by his behavior and the outrageous fees he is trying to impose on me! I was deeply upset when I returned home, as I simply cannot afford this kind of treatment or the charges he mentioned. This situation is unacceptable!
The service is appalling. They locked my senior citizen account, claiming my bank card was invalid, which seems like a tactic to take advantage of vulnerable customers. The local branches offer no assistance, and the customer support line is unhelpful and frustrating. I lost $1,000 during this ordeal, and I’m left wondering how to address my social security concerns with the bank.
The bank has seriously impacted my credit score. After my wallet was stolen in Europe, I called to block my card and requested my statement to settle my outstanding balance. Instead, they insisted I visit a branch. Due to pandemic restrictions, I couldn't go, and I was hesitant to pay without knowing if my card had been misused. I communicated this to customer service, but they did not help. Once travel resumed, I visited the bank, and they closed my credit card, damaging my credit score.
During weekends, the support team consists of overseas representatives who tend to ask excessive personal questions unrelated to my concerns. When I attempt to describe my issue, they frequently interrupt and don't let me complete my thoughts. Overall, the quality of customer service has significantly declined in recent years.
On weekends, the representatives are based overseas, and I feel they ask too many irrelevant personal questions. When I attempt to explain my issue, they often interrupt me, preventing me from finishing my thoughts. Over the years, the service has significantly declined.
This is by far the worst banking experience I've encountered, seemingly run by individuals who are only concerned with profits. They alter fees without notification, hoping customers overlook them. There’s excessive red tape, and employees are not trained to handle more than basic tasks, leaving customers waiting while they are on hold. Their management of accounts is particularly frustrating; what they call 'the most convenient bank' is anything but.
