AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They provide identical return labels for your books and then assert that you did not return one, allowing them to impose additional charges. They exploit vulnerable college students. This practice deserves investigation and should be halted.
I ordered an e-book during the summer to prepare for my Fall classes. I didn't realize how close I was to the class start date and ended up dropping the course. I was 7 days late for a refund, and they won't allow me to transfer access to someone else. Classes haven't even started yet, and they keep the money while charging another user, even though I could have given it away for free. I’m still trying to share my access. Update: they granted me an exception and issued a refund.
If you're ordering e-books, you might be fine. However, if you're buying physical books, expect poor communication and no tracking. You'll have to argue with customer service if issues arise. They respond slowly, offer minimal assistance, and often provide conflicting information. This is incredibly unprofessional.
I would give a zero if possible. I ordered an ebook for my class at the lowest price online. The link they provided led to another site, but I couldn't access the ebook. I opened tickets and chatted with support, but no one could help. Ultimately, I had to involve my credit card company to resolve the issue. Both companies seem questionable.
This service's practices are highly unethical. I ordered books for my son on 8/12, mostly digital copies. One physical book showed shipped on 8/14, but after 8 days, I found out it never left their warehouse. I’ve contacted them multiple times, but customer service claims they can’t issue a refund. I was promised a callback that never happened. Their refusal to refund feels like theft. Buyers should be wary.
Awful customer service! My daughter had a list of books and a lab kit to order. We placed the order on 8/11/2024, but when she was advised to cancel the kit, I called on 8/26/2024 to do so. I was told it would be no problem and that I would receive a confirmation call within 48 hours, which never happened. When I followed up, they claimed it was too late to cancel. I was told they would escalate my case, but I know I will never see my money again. Total scam.
I can't believe the ordeal I've had with this service. I received a book voucher but was forced to use it through them. While I found the required books, they were priced much higher than competitors. After delays in shipping, I received the wrong items. Customer support was unhelpful, taking ages to respond and seeming unaware of my issues. When I complained, the chat was disconnected. This is the worst service I have encountered. I’ll never use them again.
I ordered a textbook through my school's website using this service. They were supposed to email me a digital code, but all I got was a purchase receipt. Weeks into the class, and after reaching out, I've only received an automated response. I had to buy the book again to keep up with class. My only option now is to stop payment through my bank. I will never use this service again.
I ordered a book on 8/12, and it has been stuck in Ohio since 8/15. I've called and emailed multiple times, even the college bookstore manager has reached out, but there has been no response. This is a $130 purchase that I needed a week ago. Terrible customer service.
