If something seems too good to be true or they offer low prices as well as buy 3 get 1 free it is even more suspicious. I ordered a Jim Beam pin bottle and then after receiving no communication and the fact there is no address to their company or anything... google should do more to remove companies.In the US an alcohol licence is required and a business address. No mention of anything like this on their site
Placed an order on July 6th and did not received the order until August 22nd. Really! Nothing from customer service apologizing for the delay. I even wrote to them and they never replied. You may find a few deals, but don't expect to have them for almost two months later.
I have ordered from Barrel Tap a few times. My last order was packaged with extreme care. Although I kinda agree with other people chatting about shipping, I live in Ohio and it obviously takes a hot minute to get here from California. I recommend this company to all that’s into bourbon.
Ordered a bottle of premium Mezcal July 5th a Saturday. I knew it would not get processed till Monday paid next day air figuring to get it Tuesday or Wednesday at worst. Total cost 231.55 96 dollars was next day air. It showed up on Friday, they do not carry things in stock my bottle came from a different company! don't waste your time reply to emails were vague and did not care they got their money!
Terrible customer service and the worst experience with online gift cards I've ever been subjected to. Tried to get my boss a giftcard for $200 and even gave them a $20 tip! Many people on my team contributed. Called them to address not receiving the GC, and was accused of fraud! Unreal. Funds out of my bank but still no giftcard in sight. Spoke with Aiden on the phone but they were not at all helpful.
I placed a large order for a dozen bottles of bourbon as a retirement gift and only had an issue with the payment backbone for the site (Shop/Shopify) picking up an incorrect address, which was not the fault of The Bottle Tap. The problem was very quickly sorted out using the chat system on the site, which a live person monitors. Both boxes were processed and shipped on the day that was promised, and each was delivered on the day that was promised. The boxes were well packed, and there were no issues with all 12 bottles arriving undamaged. I will use them again for personal orders for hard-to-find bottles. My only suggestion is to take the negative reviews lightly and consider most are only willing to complain and not comment when the service is excellent.
I ordered a Stranahan's mountain angel 12 year and it showed up in less than 10 days. The packaging was in good shape and the actual bottle and presentation canister were in good shape. All in all this is an outstanding purchase and the customer service is great. The tracking was from start to finish and I am very pleased!
I just got my order and I was nervous after checking this site for reviews. I received texts, emails, shipping info, and the package was packed beautifully! I bought a bottle of Blanton's for my husband because he was promoted at work at a place that ships products out and I'm excited to give him his "Congratulations" gift and show him the packaging. I would 100% recommend this place. The only downside was paying $155 for something that typically costs $90 at our small-town liquor store (they didn't have any in stock).
I read all the reviews and saw that there all bad but decided to give this company a try so I sent them an email seeing if I would get a reply back to my surprise I did. I asked how long does it take for you to ship out your items once I place a order they insured me it takes 3 days to ship out an order once placed..so I made my order and a month went by I've also been messaging them multiple times asking where's my package so I'm always the one reaching out come to find out an item from my list was no longer in stock that's why I was taking so long and nobody bothered to reach out to me and tell me this So then they ask can we replace it with something else..so then I gave them something to replace it with I also asked when I might receive tracking and they said once the items got sent back to them meaning they sent out my order uncompleted that's crazy to me just wow... then I waited another 3 weeks didn't hear anything back yet again I'm the one who had to reach out they said I had balance that was due I was never sent an invoice and thought they were just going to accommodate me since it's been so long and I had to go to the struggle but they didn't I canceled my whole order I'm never doing business with them ever again It's not worth it the weight time almost 2 months I don't even want it anymore.. trust me save yourself the headache and go somewhere else period
