The 1 star is so I can comment on this treacherous company. This gymnastics academy has very poor communication once you are no longer trying to join. I cancelled my membership less than 5 days after my final payment, yet I was still charged for the following month.Despite the cancellation, further payment attempts were made in January and February. There was no direct debit set up, which meant I could not simply cancel payments myself. I had to wait for charges to come out of pending in order to try and resolve them.I contacted the academy multiple times by phone and email and did not receive a response until nearly a month later. Each email response came from a different person, and I was repeatedly asked to provide the same screenshots of proof, despite this information being available on their system.A late fee was then added, even though the delays were caused by the lack of response and ongoing payment attempts. I explained that I would clear any remaining balance when I was financially able to, however instead of responding, payment attempts continued almost daily. When the full amount could not be taken, smaller amounts were taken instead, which caused financial difficulty and left me short on multiple occasions. This made it very difficult to manage my own finances.Overall, the experience was extremely stressful and frustrating. The lack of communication, repeated payment attempts after cancellation, and additional fees make this an academy I would not recommend.
We signed up to attended this in late 2024. My wife turned up to the class she had booked online twice but the academy was closed and we later found out that a member of staff had rung in sick on both occasions, which can’t obviously be helped. We reached out to their accounts team for a refund but we had no joy, and were eventually left £40 out of pocket, so we left it at that. In January 2026, they have somehow charged us another £40 after we made it clear to them that we don’t want to pay for their services again.I have had to initiate a chargeback via Monzo to get our money back.I would be wary signing up with this company as we have had nothing but trouble.
This company sadly is not about the children solely the money!!! If I could give zero stars I would. My child attended a free trial session which he enjoyed. Immediately after the trial we were asked to sign up, but at no point did any member of staff explain that I would be charged for the full month, even though my child would start the first class at the end of the month. Why is this not transparent on signing on site. If I had been made aware I could have made an informed choice & perhaps commenced joining at the beginning of the next month.A full months payment was automatically taken from my account almost immediately!I was completely blind sided. I cancelled immediately after attending the first actual class because the instructor proceeded to ask the children to perform a series of moves including a handstand. However, she had not met my child on the trial & proceeded without checking what he can or cannot do? It was completely different to the trial lesson. This was completely unsafe practice and he fell over because he has not learnt the techniques for handstands etc.I wrote to the company to explain my concerns & i asked, out of goodwill, to at least reimburse one of the payments due to my concerns. The company’s terms and conditions are about profit and completely against you ! They are not about the children whatsoever. Stay CLEAR of this company. As the caveat states: BUYER BEWARE.They DO NOT CARE about your child. They have pound signs in their eyes only.Furthermore, once you sign up, even just for a trial, members of their staff are constantly texting or ringing you to sign up on a daily basis but if you try ring them back there is no answer. It's a media COLD company who sells nothing but misrepresentation & driven by revenue.
We cancelled within the stated notice period, yet additional payments were still taken afterwards, including a duplicate charge. When queried, responses were slow and with a refusal to answer any questions around billing. Resolving the issue took far more effort than it should have.Billing appears to be a wider issue. When researching the company, I found many reviews from other customers reporting similar problems with unexpected or duplicate payments and difficulty stopping charges. The terms and conditions are heavily relied upon, but in our case they did not prevent billing errors and appear to change over time, which makes them hard to rely on with confidence.I also had concerns after reading publicly available information online relating to staff training, workplace culture, and safeguarding standards. This did raise questions for me as a parent and affected my confidence in the organisation overall.Due to the billing issues, lack of transparency, and wider concerns, this is not a service we would use again or recommend.
