When I was appointed Oluwakonyinsola Awosika to deal with my case communications where excellent. Oluwakonyinsola kept me informed at every stage of my case as things progress. I found her to be very friendly, approachable and professional. In our telephone discussion I felt she listened to what I had to say and explained the process to me clearly in laymens terms. From the start to the closing of my case I cannot thank Oluwakonyinsola enough for her hard work and expertise.
I was lead on and then told they could not assist. It took them a full year of time wasting to say this. Only after I complained I was told this. Avoid this pantomime law firm. Initially they literally begged for the case!!!Irresponsible and unprofessional company.
Emailed this company over 2 weeks ago sharing really personal information which was very difficult to do, and have not had a response. Therefore, would not recommend as anyone contacting this solicitor is probably feeling sensitive anyway without their email being ignored.
I have just started my claim and the call handler showed compassion and empathy towards my issue. Very patient and clear communication. Explained the process clearly and gave frequent opportunities for me to ask questions. They called when they said they would and have so far progressed the claim quickly to the next step in the process.
Jazmeer was my solicitor and she’s lovely. She explained everything and really got the fact of just how stressful the process was for me. If I was just eating jazmeer it would have been 5/5 but because I had to deal with another solicitor connect to my case who was appalling he spoke to me once and never spoke to me again. Thanks Jazmeer
So far so good, spoke with a Legal Helpline assistant named Tom Howarth who helped me through the process of the initial questions and submission of my personal injury claim. The claim is successfully in progress and I’m now under the care of my claim handler Larisa who has also been really responsive and helpful with good communication. Thankyou both for your help so far.
I instructed Thompsons Solicitors in August 2023 to pursue a serious claim against my former employer. For an entire year, they led me to believe the case was progressing toward court. In reality, they did absolutely nothing — until just days before the hearing.Without warning, they sacked the solicitor handling my case and replaced them with someone who had no real interest in helping. The new solicitor whitewashed and dismissed key parts of my claim, including serious allegations involving modern slavery, and pressured me to water it down. Then it got worse. The barrister assigned to represent me suddenly went on “annual leave” a few days before the hearing, and was replaced by someone who only reviewed my case the day before court — and flooded me with urgent questions I had no time to respond to.The night before my hearing, I received a letter saying the case was postponed because there was no judge available. After that, the solicitor handed my case back to the original barrister, who mocked the contents and showed no understanding or respect for what I had endured. In a matter of weeks, they completely dismantled my case. Then offered me a £350 "goodwill" payment — which felt like a slap in the face.I’ve submitted a formal complaint to the Legal Ombudsman and asked for it to be prioritised due to how badly this was handled, and because of recent public news involving my former employer. If your case involves anything serious, traumatic, or sensitive — do not trust Thompsons Solicitors. They failed me when I needed them most, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same.
