Tool station is something I barely use as a last resort. When I need supplies don’t have 2 days to wait for parts. There next day delivery is next day afternoon maybe. I only buy from them on occasion and only if the part is in stock which most time it’s not.
Comparable to SF - Screwfix on price and products.
Likes - can have some different items/makes, so always worth comparing before ordering at SF.
Dislikes - Close earlier than SF, so I'm often running down to SF because TS are closed.

I've been pushed to make this review, so ref my last order YWW320214164, lots of plumbing valves/parts, there was a missing isolator but had an extra simple connector, 1/3 that value. I also needed that missing part, so I went to my local branch which was different to the branch I'd collected from 10 miles away,
I was about to be given the missing part in exchange for the extra part having taken all parts in, when I mentioned I'd collected from another branch.
That changed matters. A call to mgr was made and was told they can't exchange as would mess their stock up!
I find that's so wrong, that as a customer I'm made expected to spend an hour return drive, cost, etc, to swap a small part they'd got wrong, not me.
Anyway, their stock was already wrong, as they'd NOT supplied me with a part ordered/paid, and they supplied an extra part in error.
I ordered another of the missing part whilst at my local. Logical policy and customer service, if they want to keep customers, would have been to exchange the wrong parts and change their stock and inform the other branch their stock was wrong so they can adjust theirs. If that sounds like 'rocket science' they could have ordered the part from the other branch who made error, and just put back into their stock physically to tally. Anyway, customer lost for now! Stick to SF. This poor service loses stars here.
The manager at the local store attends the same swinger club as my mum and gives me a staff discount - He reckons he met Gary Lineker there too once, And on occasion gets cheap dog meat for under the counter sales !
Probably the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, the say next day delivery but then lose your parcel the expect you to wait 10 days until they will even look into you issues then expect you to wait 7 days for a refund on an item the costs £200! Who has an endless pit of money to shell outa a further £200 or beexpe ted to wait until they see fit help you, customer service is appalling, I will never use this company again as long as I live
ordered a fluorescent lap came 3 days late, noone bothered to text me or let me know it had arrived and they said they would so just went to check. anyway the bulb didnt work when i called to let them know they asked me to take back to the store. waste of my time
Didn’t like the wait, what’s the point in click and collect when I have to wait behind the queue looking up stuff on the system computer aided by staff who just ignore me standing at the click and collect area. A person who came in after me was served before me.
Still no sign of a refund from Toolstation regarding a parcel that was not delivered correctly. The Toolstation Courier team are completely useless in dealing with this and are choosing to ignore clear information proving that this was not delivered correctly.
Order from here at your own risk as if your parcel goes missing during delivery you'll be left completely in the dark, out of pocket and getting lied to
