I spent a fantastic day foraging and cooking with a knowledgeable guide at a local park. The experience was engaging and enjoyable, with clear demonstrations of expertise and enthusiasm. (Though the language could have been toned down a bit!) The schedule provided beforehand was followed, and it’s wise to bring a snack for the midday break, as the cooking starts later in the afternoon. We foraged various fungi and leaves, culminating in a delicious mushroom risotto and apple crumble. Truly an inspiring day!
The guide was fantastic, brimming with information and enthusiasm. Within moments of starting our foraging journey, we were collecting plants, and by the end, our baskets were overflowing. The insights into medicinal uses were captivating, and we concluded with a generous meal of pasta, greens, and mushrooms. A remarkable experience that I highly recommend!
I found this service unreliable. My daughter and I had booked a foraging day, but the course was canceled on the morning of the event. We both took time off work, which my daughter doesn't get paid for, and I incurred extra costs for dog care. The weather was perfect, and we were left very disappointed. Although they cited car troubles, taxis are readily available. It seems they don't fully appreciate how busy people's lives are and the anticipation around such events. A disappointing excuse, in my opinion.

Everything started off well, but the food was extremely late and ultimately nonexistent. I expected at least a meal and a drink, but when it didn't arrive, I decided to leave. For the price paid, I anticipated a proper meal. I've attended foraging events costing much less with better food included. I believe a full refund is warranted. This experience was quite disappointing and has deterred me from future foraging events.
